Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Demonstrated welding experience with at least one, but preferably all, of the following processes: FCAW-G (Flux Core), SMAW (Stick), SAW (Sub Arc).
* Demonstrated welding experience in welding: carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel
* Demonstrated experience with air-arc gouging.
* Must be able to pass the required welding certification tests for the appropriate processes and positions.
* Has ability to read and work from a set of project documents (drawings, specifications, and procedures (WPS)).
* Layout of structural steel weldments from a set of drawings using typical measuring instruments.
* Bolting of structural steel connections

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
Able to pass non-destructive testing of pressure retaining welds, on both pipe and vessels
Works from drawings/sketches to determine weld size, weld location and weld process
Inspects own work to ensure compliance to drawings and weld procedures and makes necessary repairs
Assist with incoming parts inspection and final product inspection and complete appropriate documentation
Operate Fork trucks, jib cranes and overhead crane
Complete ASME code weld log documentation daily

Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
Basic track work duties; spiking, anchoring and surfacing
Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
Performs routine preventive maintenance on small and large industrial equipment.
Detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors.
Operates equipment per safety policies, rules and regulations.
Inspects equipment, diagnoses problems and notifies supervisor of the need to the repair equipment.
