* Minimum of 8 years of practical experience in the structural design of bridges with working knowledge of FDOT standards preferred. (Candidates with greater experience are encouraged to apply.)
* Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design programs preferred, along with working knowledge of MicroStation programs.
* Ability to develop details, drawings and plan sheets in MicroStation is strongly preferred.
* Experience with OpenBridge Modeler and Designer software is a significant advantage.
* Registration as a PE in FL is required.

Job Summary: The Task Coordinator III (TC III) position is the third level of the Task Coordinator (TC) Career Track where progression is based on time in grade and appropriate performance. This position is responsible for leading small groups of individual contributors (ICs) responsible for a broad range of work. This work may include: Permitting, lighting, joint use, electric distribution design, field data collection, routing of work, data input, work order creation, time sheet review, client reporting, scheduling and other items as requested by leadership. The incumbent will have expert knowledge of the electric distribution design process including: field data collection, computer-aided design using client's design tool, standards and materials, permitting, Quality Control, GIS, charging guidelines, environmental constraints, safety requirements, construction practices, client/construction interaction, and as-built processes as needed to progress a project. The TC III may be tasked with leading groups in one or more tasks associated with the process. The TC III will generate schedules for work processes they are responsible for advancing. The TC III will assist with the development of those reporting to them and will be responsible for ongoing performance appraisals in a timely manner.
This position primarily involves working in an office environment. There is an expectation of significant field work, which may include exposure to inclement weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, high humidity, rain, snow and icy conditions.
Key Technical Skills Required:
Proficiency in Dynamics ERP, CAD, and WMS (ex. MAXIMO).
Experience with distribution design and analysis software, such as: PoleForeman, DSTAR SEDs, Cable Pulling Assistant, or similar.
Familiarity with construction resources, field safety, and work zone protocols.
Solid understanding of Power Distribution, Basic Electrical Concepts, Circuit Protection, and a working knowledge of the NESC.

Your impact:
Project Management
Responsible for the management of transportation design projects for FDOT, the Central Florida Expressway Authority, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, counties, and municipalities.
Direct and/or develop project design documentation, including typical section packages, pavement design reports, design exceptions and variations, and specifications.

The Senior Project Manager is the highest level in KCI's Energy Project Management career track, responsible for overseeing highly complex projects or multi-project programs. This role provides strategic oversight and direction, often managing multiple project teams and guiding Project Managers to achieve cohesive, client centric, large-scale outcomes. Key Technical Skills Required:
Extensive knowledge of transmission engineering and transmission line construction principles- 69 kV to 500 kV
Highly proficient in the use of transmission engineering software tools (PLS-CADD software suite, MFAD, LPILE etc.) with an ability to train others.
Extensive knowledge of engineering standards including NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE and ANSI.
Strong working knowledge of foundation design and construction principles.
Demonstrated ability to perform independent reviews of work performed by other engineers including calculations, drawing preparation, and transmission line models based in PLS-CADD.
Demonstrated proficiency at developing client specified technical reports as they relate to transmission engineering projects.
Experience conducting EMF studies and analysis as they relate to transmission lines
Experience and knowledge of grid interconnection requirements
Demonstrated experience developing permitting packages for various agencies. DOT, DEP, FAA, etc.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
Project Management Leadership and Execution:
Manage all aspects of the project(s), including technical staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Develop and communicate the Project Management Plan for the project, outlining project objectives, scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Develop project specific scope of work and contract documents incompliance with client requirements and in alignment with industry standard of care.
Effectively manage the project scope, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project requirements.
Maintain project schedules, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays or conflicts to minimize impact on project timelines.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost-control measures as needed to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.

Responsible for negotiating contract terms, scope and fees with a client/subconsultant.
Responsible for developing project schedules from inception to completion. Should be able to recognize areas where tasks can be done concurrently to optimize schedule.
Develop contracts for clients/ subconsultants.
Report monthly proposal/business development results to Practice Leader.
Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target (85% typical).
Chart and provide project performance results.
Deliver all projects on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope.
Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters.
Prepare and submit monthly project completion report.
Prepare inter-practice agreements and/or outside subcontracts as required.
Prepare monthly progress reports for all projects and be able to discuss in monthly Project Review Meetings.
Responsible for project cash management (WIP/AR) and providing comments to Finance and Operations monthly.
Set-up new projects and provide weekly new project data to the practice leader.

Business Development and Marketing:
Responsible for participating in project opportunity evaluations, consultant selections, and the preparation of qualification/experience statements.
Travel and participation at major industry conferences is expected
Responsible for identifying new business opportunities, coordinating and participating in project presentations to clients and other external groups, developing and organizing proposal teams and promoting KCI's capabilities among existing and prospective clients.
Assist project closeout with an overall project write up and pictures of completed project for marketing/resume use.
Be involved in at least one industry and/or community organization.
Project Execution and Technical Oversight:
Fully manage all required project management and technical deliverables required in contract scope of work.
Compare field data to design plans.

Job Summary: The Distribution Engineer Designer I (DED I) position is the first level of the DED career track where progression is based on time in grade and performance. This career track is tasked with providing designs for electrical distribution systems including but not limited to: Overhead and underground circuits for joint use, lighting, and commercial, industrial and residential development. Job Summary: The Task Coordinator III (TC III) position is the third level of the Task Coordinator (TC) Career Track where progression is based on time in grade and appropriate performance.
