Must be able to pass drug and background check. Position Responsibilities Make deliveries and pick-ups of home furnishings in a timely manner. Physically unload and set-up merchandise for in-home deliveries. Demonstrate orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications, and interactions in a cooperative, positive, and professional manner. Assist Driver with pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Assist with communication with Customer Service as directed. Be able to assist driver with all navigation and communication to and from each stop. Maintain clean truck cab and box of the truck. Insure all pads and straps are folded neatly after each stop. Any additional tasks assigned by the Transportation Manager Job Requirements Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit. Must be able and willing to work weekends Communicate, read, understand, and write as required to perform essential functions. Load/unload in extreme winter and summer temperatures and conditions. Pass company drug and alcohol screening. Present neat, clean appearance of self and equipment and proper business etiquette. Must have skills in furniture assembly and light touch up repair. Physical Requirements Employee will not be required to slide, push, pull, or relocate a piece using a hand truck or have assistance as part of the loading and unloading process. Sit up to ten hours per day. Must be in reasonable health and able to stand, squat, turn, bend and twist in the freight and unloading process. Must have adequate eyesight to be able to detect hairline cracks, splits, checks, warp, surface scratches, stain mismatch and other routine defects customarily found in furniture.

Ultimately, an exceptional driver helper will effectively engage with clients and customers to ensure that their expectations are met. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Loading and unloading company products. Assisting drivers to find delivery locations. Compiling accurate delivery records and reports. Reporting all delivery-related problems to senior staff. Effectively communicating with clients and customers to resolve complaints. Liaising with the main office or the warehouse logistics team to notify the driver of any changes to daily routes. Assisting with the unloading of the delivery vehicle at the end of each shift. Obtaining clients' and customers' signatures as an acknowledgment of having received the delivered products. Ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS High school diploma or GED Proven experience working in warehousing, manufacturing, or production Proven customer service experience is preferred The ability to work in a fast-paced environment The ability to work flexible hours The ability to lift heavy objects Excellent communication skills Strong work ethic. Duties include unloading each retailer's order and placing it in the designated area, filling all coolers and shelves, and straightening all products in the retail space, among other duties. This is physically demanding work due to the weight of beverage products and the volume of product that goes out for delivery each day, and requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds repetitiously and manipulate (push/pull) heavier weights, such as kegs of beer weighing approximately 162lbs. Delivery Helpers are required to obtain a CDL learner permit during the first 90 days of employment and will be considered for a pay increase at that time. Applicants who already have a CDL learner permit at the time of application will receive priority consideration and a higher rate of pay. This is a full-time regular position, Monday through Friday, starting at 5 a.m. and ending when all deliveries are completed. You get paid while you train! Familiarity with the local market and surrounding areas is a plus.
