The Career Services Department invites applications for part-time single term instructors to teach internship and co-op courses. The University is opening this posting for the purposes of establishing a pool of candidates, from which to select part-time instructor candidates. Throughout the academic year, individuals may be contacted by the department to further discuss positions available, on an as needed, semester by semester basis. Service as a part-time single term instructor does not accrue tenure rights. Part-time single term instructors serve by the mutual agreement expressed in each successive contract executed and are engaged to teach at the convenience of the university. A part-time single term instructor shall not have teaching responsibilities exceeding nine credit hours per semester, and no other responsibilities such as to accrue to full-time faculty. Minimum Qualifications * Master's degree in related field (in rare cases where an exception can be justified on academic grounds, professional experience may be considered in lieu of a master's degree in the field) Preferred Qualifications

Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, adhering to facility guidelines and dress standards. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide modifications as needed to accommodate varying fitness levels. Collaborate with Fitness Lead to ensure seamless class operations and substitute coverage as needed. Communicate effectively with the Fitness Program Manager and other staff regarding class schedules, participant feedback, and any concerns or issues. Requirements: Shall maintain current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Certified Cycling Instructor with a minimum of 6 months of teaching experience. Ability to effectively manage class logistics and provide exceptional customer service. Ability to demonstrate exercises and movements with proper form. Comfortable working in a fitness facility environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Conducting summer camp programs for up to 12 children 4-14 years old in accordance with provided curriculum and training Setting up and breaking down classroom before and after camp each day Making sure all necessary supplies and documentation are accounted for Utilizing and supervising teenage volunteers who assist with summer programs Display competency and comfort with live animal handling and interpreting in the classroom setting including species such as snakes, lizards, turtles/tortoises, small mammals, birds, and arthropods. Qualifications: Progress toward university degree in biology, education or related field; equivalent experience in the field accepted as alternative Experience and/or a strong interest in working with children Strong communication skills Willingness to learn to work with a variety of animals. Ability to lift and carry 25lbs with limited assistance and lead hikes on varied terrain, in all weather conditions, for up to two hours Employment is contingent upon passing a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
