Adjunct Instructor - CPR/First Aid Instructor - American Heart Association (Non-Credit)

Overview:


Fox Valley Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to deliver American Heart Association (AHA) courses in accordance with AHA curriculum standards. This part-time, non-credit instructor position will facilitate student learning and promote student success.
Responsibilities:

* Deliver AHA courses in accordance with AHA curriculum standards

* Facilitate video presentations, lead lectures, demonstrate skills, administer skills testing, and respond to student questions

* Complete all required post-course documentation and rosters

* May require travel to various training locations

* Other duties may be required and assigned

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma required

* Associate Degree or higher preferred

* One or more years' experience in teaching

* Must be an AHA Instructor - Not American Red Cross

* Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor certification in one or more of the following: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

* Valid Driver's License

* Subject to FVTC's Motor Vehicle Records Check

* Lift up to 50 pounds

* Proficiency utilizing learning management system

* Work independently and organize course material

* Demonstrate responsibility and punctuality

* Strong verbal communication skills

* Adapt quickly to changing demands, assignments, and circumstances to meet student needs

* Communicate effectively and professionally with various audiences

* Engage in continuous improvement in the quality of instruction by embracing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods

Benefits:
