Teacher Education Instructor, part-time

Overview:
The Department of Teacher Education is accepting applications for potential part-time Instructor openings for fall and spring of the 2025-26 academic year. The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational need including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.
Responsibilities:

* Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses on campus and/or online. * Contribute to the instructional mission of the Teacher Education Department and Patton College of Education. * Use online learning management system (Blackboard and/or Canvas) for academic engagement.
Qualifications:

* Master's degree in the field of education (for undergraduate-level courses) or terminal degree in the field of education (for graduate-level courses)

* Experience teaching students

* Experience using technology for teaching

* Current or prior teaching license in area (preferred)

* Relevant and recent Pre K-12 classroom-based experience (preferred)

* Demonstrated knowledge of theory and research-supported best practices for teaching and learning (preferred)

* Experience facilitating professional development (preferred)

* Evidence of professional training or attendance and/or presentations at conferences (preferred)

* Ability to deliver online instruction (preferred)
