Academic hospitalist job description
Overview:
The Hospitalist will serve as the attending physician for inpatient general medicine service and potentially cover the Medical Observation Unit. The Hospitalist will have an opportunity to work with Advanced Practice Providers and potentially attend on teaching services.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as attending physician for inpatient general medicine service
* Potentially cover the Medical Observation Unit
* Work with Advanced Practice Providers and attend on teaching services
* Oversee inpatient floor (no ICU and No Code Team)
* Share weekend duties with other faculty in the section of throughout the course of the year
Qualifications:
* MD or DO
* Board Certification/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
* Qualified candidates must be licensed or able to obtain a license in the State of Massachusetts
* Active DEA
* Current BLS is required
