Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Overview:


We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our Building Operations & Maintenance department, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance work on mechanical equipment, ensuring the highest level of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:

* Complete general maintenance assignments at the skilled level in various areas, including plastering, masonry, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, dry walling, electronics, boilers, air conditioning, and refrigeration. * Inspect new equipment prior to installation to ensure safety standards are met. * Repair malfunctions according to operation and maintenance standards. * Complete financial paperwork for any charges incurred. * Maintain records for compliance with state and federal laws. * Maintain internal and external contacts. * Calibrate new and existing machinery and equipment to maintain peak performance. * Inspect defective equipment and diagnose malfunctions using analytical testing equipment. * Obtain required parts and/or provide lists of materials needed to complete job assignments. * Perform preventative maintenance work orders. * Work with vendors/suppliers to secure the lowest possible prices for required materials. * Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED (Required)

* 2-4 Years of maintenance experience, dependent on the need of the department

* Driver's License (Required)
