Front End Developer

Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As a Front End Developer, you will play a key role in developing functional web-based solutions for American Airlines Tech Ops department. You will assist in creating a centralized location for data to improve data analytics, trending, dashboards, and reporting.
Responsibilities:

* Collaborate in an environment to rapidly iterate and prototype digital products

* Develop front end applications using strong DOM Markup, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS

* Lead technical solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables

* Create pixel perfect visuals with cross browser compatibility (especially Internet Explorer)

* Develop with bandwidth optimization in mind

* Plan and provide estimates of Development time for tasks

* Apply up to date web development methods and use a solid understanding of good design principles

* Write clean, well-organized and fully documented code

* Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards

Qualifications:

* Experience developing Responsive Web Applications

* Expert knowledge of Object Oriented JavaScript Development

* Proficient in JavaScript coding of jQuery plugins or similar JavaScript frameworks

* JavaScript Framework proficiency (Angular JS, SPServices, jQuery, DC JS, Moment JS, DataTables JS)

* Ability to understand and develop SQL queries is desired but not required

* Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required

* 8-10 years experience required
