Assistant Professor of Endocrinology

The University of Virginia School of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism (Department of Medicine), seeks candidates to fill an Assistant Professor of Medicine position on the Tenure-Ineligible Clinical Faculty Track. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for various endocrine disorders and demonstrate a strong commitment to medical education and scholarship/quality improvement.
Responsibilities:

* Provide clinical care for various endocrine disorders, including bone, mineral, diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, gonadal, and pituitary disorders

* Provide care primarily at the UVA Endocrinology/Diabetes and local UVA outreach clinics

* Demonstrate a strong commitment to medical education and a commitment to scholarship/quality improvement

* Collaborate with a collegial and collaborative team with a rich and long-standing tradition of excellence in research, patient care, and education

Qualifications:

* M.D. degree or equivalent with board certification in Internal Medicine

* ABIM board-eligible/certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the appointment start date

* Experience in bone disorders will be prioritized
