Civil engineering assistant job description


Overview:


The Sustainable, Healthy, and Resilient Buildings Lab at Oregon State University is seeking a part-time (up to 24 hours per week) Technical Project Assistant to support research projects focused on indoor environmental quality, particularly control and mitigation of building occupants' exposure to contaminants and allergen and virus-carrier particles indoors.
Responsibilities:

* Work in the lab and/or field research activities to help with various tasks including but not limited to equipment setup, data collection, and analysis, and lab maintenance. * Drive OSU Motor Pool vehicles to pick up/drop off materials, tools, and models from other facilities and stores, as needed. * Travel in state and out of state for assisting with field research projects, as needed. * Other duties assigned by the faculty supervisor.
Qualifications:

* Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study. * Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment. * Background in Engineering or other STEM majors with a strong background in programming and sensor data-acquisition systems. * Strong programming skills and experience with any of R/MATLAB/Python/C++. * Excellent writing and communication skills.
