Overview:
The Financial Aid Assistant will provide critical support to the Financial Aid Office at Lorain County Community College. This student worker will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, assisting with financial aid processes, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
* Answer incoming calls, emails, and virtual communication platform communications
* Assist students with completing FAFSA and other financial aid forms
* Process correspondence and requests for additional informational information
* Digitize student records, prepare files, and scan documents as needed
* Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Learn general financial aid information to provide informed support to students
Qualifications:
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and cover the front desk associate when needed
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Familiarity with computer software and virtual communication platforms
