Engine Room Wiper

Overview:


Maersk Line is seeking a qualified and experienced Wiper to join our team on Container Vessels. As a key member of our engine room crew, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and competencies on state-of-the-art vessels. Responsibilities:

* Maintain a clean and tidy Engine Room and other designated areas as directed by the Chief or Second Engineers. * Conduct regular sounding of relevant tanks according to Chief and Second Engineers' instructions. * Perform regular maintenance tasks as defined by the Chief and Second Engineer in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. * Ensure good housekeeping of the vessel's Engine Room according to the 2nd Engineer's instructions. * Assist in mooring/undocking and Canal transits as designated by the Master. * Monitor the loading of HFO or IFO, MDO/GO, and Lube Oil Bunkers as directed by the Chief Engineer. * Plan and ensure compliance with work and rest hour requirements to avoid fatigue, reporting any challenges to the Second Engineer/Chief Engineer.
Qualifications:

* Wiper with 12-18 months' experience on foreign-going ships.
