Teaching Artist - Community Engagement

Overview:
The Nevada Shakespeare Festival is seeking a Teaching Artist to join our team! As a Teaching Artist, you will be responsible for leading educational programs and workshops focused on Shakespearean drama and literacy skills for students in grades K-12.
Responsibilities:

* Develop and lead educational programs and workshops for students in grades K-12, focusing on Shakespearean drama and literacy skills

* Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to integrate Shakespearean studies into the curriculum

* Design and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners

* Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for future program development

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Education, Theatre, or a related field

* Experience teaching drama and/or Shakespearean studies to students in grades K-12

* Strong knowledge of Shakespearean plays and characters

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
