Overview:
The Information Technology Programs Department at Tulane University's School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) seeks qualified individuals for its part-time adjunct lecturer pool. The department welcomes applicants at any time, and openings to teach courses develop on a periodic basis depending on department teaching needs. SoPA courses may be taught at the Uptown campus, Elmwood campus, or online.
Responsibilities:
As an Adjunct Lecturer in Information Technology Programs, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Technology, including but not limited to courses on our website. Courses may include topics such as B.S. in Information Technology, M.S. in Information Technology Management, M.S. in Cybersecurity Management, and more. You will also be expected to develop and update course materials, assess student performance, and maintain a commitment to academic excellence.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
* Direct professional experience related to course offering is preferred
* Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar is required, doctorate/terminal degree is preferred
* Candidates with a non-Information Technology Degree may still be considered based on industry experience, higher education credit hours, and access to computer and internet services
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Excellent organizational and planning skills
* University-level teaching experience is preferred
