Overview:


The Department of Economics at Illinois State University is seeking graduate teaching assistants to assist with course instruction and other teaching-related tasks for the academic year 2025-2026.
Responsibilities:

* Serve as a primary or secondary teaching instructor in a class or laboratory

* Assist a faculty member with teaching-related tasks

* Grade student assignments that require knowledge of subjects taught in a class or laboratory

* Meet with and/or tutor students, hold office hours, prepare instructional materials, and assist during class and/or laboratory

Qualifications:

* B.S. degree in Economics or related fields

* GPA of 3.0 or better

* Minimum score of 300 (computer-based) on the verbal and quantitative portions of the GRE

* State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position

* Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook

* Must be a degree-seeking graduate student at Illinois State University
