Overview:


The Pittsburg State University School of History, Philosophy, and Social Sciences is seeking a part-time, in-person, temporary Adjunct Lecturer to teach undergraduate level courses in the Social Work program for the Fall/Spring semester.
Responsibilities:

* Teach in-person and/or online sections at undergraduate level courses in the program areas identified

* Perform other duties as assigned by the department or university

Qualifications:

* Master's Degree in the field of study

* Effective oral and written communication skills

* Experience with online instruction

* Instructor experience in higher education or with adult learners

* Knowledge of and ability to work with a course management system (Canvas) (preferred)

* Doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution (preferred)

* Evidence of teaching excellence, both in-person and online (preferred)

* Interest and/or experience in teacher preparation (preferred)

Pittsburg State also awards its eligible students some amount of financial aid in the form of grants, loans and scholarships. Prospective undergraduates will need to take a tour of the campus, then submit an application along with transcripts and ACT scores.
