The Department of Urban and Regional Planning at San José State University is seeking part-time lecturer candidates to teach introductory and upper division courses in urban planning and geography. Responsibilities:

* Teach introductory and upper division courses in urban planning and geography

* Demonstrate awareness of and address the needs of a diverse student population

* Organize classes within the Canvas Learning Management System

* Meet as scheduled throughout the entire semester or term

* Deliver lectures in conventional (in-class) or online modalities

Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Urban Planning/Geography or a closely related discipline

* Professional experience and previous teaching experience at the collegiate level are highly valued

* Ability to prepare and deliver lectures in a conventional (in-class) or online modalities

* Well-organized and able to deliver a supportive learning experience for a diverse student body

* AICP and/or GISP certification is highly recommended
