Overview:


A-Lert Construction Services is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms.
Responsibilities:

* Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms, such as tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, and building parts

* Physically able to perform tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or working at heights

* Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure, convert decimals, and read prints, layout, fit, and weld components together

* Ability to work overtime and use hand tools

* Some equipment set-up and operation may be required

* Accomplish all functions as assigned by management

Qualifications:

* Strong work history

* Welding experience is a must

* Physically, workers must minimally be able to:

+ See well from a distance and at close range (either naturally or with correction)

+ Push, pull, lift, carry, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or work at heights as required

+ Lift 50+ pounds

* Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure

* Ability to convert decimals

* Ability to read prints, layout, fit, and weld components together

* Able to work overtime

* Ability to use hand tools

* Some equipment set-up and operation may be required

* Attendance - Must be available when scheduled for work

* Ability to use time effectively and productively

* Ability to perform quality, accurate, complete, well-organized, concise, analytical and well-articulated work

* Ability to communicate, understand and follow directions
