PT - Adjunct Faculty, English

Overview:


Arizona Western College (AWC) is seeking a part-time Adjunct Faculty member to teach English courses on our Yuma campus. This is a great opportunity to share your expertise and passion for teaching with our students.
Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality instruction, incorporating relevant classroom technology, and ensuring course content is up-to-date

* Foster a supportive classroom environment and stay informed about developments within the field

* Maintain accurate records and submit reports on time, including grades and attendance

* Develop, plan, and deliver course content, administer assessments, and provide feedback and grades to students

* Acquire and maintain knowledge of best instructional practices and remain current in the assigned academic field

* Offer academic support and engage students in learning at all levels

* Respond to correspondence in a timely, thoughtful, and professional manner

* Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* Master's degree in the discipline, OR Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline OR Master's degree in any discipline with three years of full-time work experience related to the course(s) taught

* Bachelor's degree with an industry recognized license or certification and three years of full-time work experience, OR Bachelor's degree with a current Arizona teaching certificate in the discipline and three full-time years teaching in the content area
