You will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser machinery for cutting, drilling, and engraving various materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and operate laser machinery according to specifications provided.
Create high-quality laser cut designs and products in a safe and efficient manner.
Inspect and maintain laser machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
Adjust machine settings to improve quality and efficiency of the production process.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that arise with laser machinery.
Clean and maintain work areas, including laser machinery and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as a Laser Operator.
Strong technical and mechanical skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and diagrams.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to work in a standing position for prolonged periods, and lift heavy materials and equipment.

Laser Operator: 1st Shift (Direct Hire) A precision manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Laser Operator to join their production team. This role involves setting up and running a fiber optic laser to cut sheet metal components according to production requirements, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistent part quality.
What You'll Do
Set up and operate a fiber optic laser for sheet metal cutting
Review and interpret job travelers and part drawings to confirm specifications
Select appropriate sheet metal thicknesses and material types for each job
Perform machine alignments, adjustments, and quality checks to maintain consistent cut accuracy
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform basic machine maintenance
Cross-train and assist in other departments such as saw cutting, waterjet operation, and assembly as needed
Qualifications
Prior experience operating or setting up laser cutting equipment (fiber or CO?)
Background working with sheet metal or fabricated metal parts
Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints or work instructions
Comfortable using standard measuring tools for inspection
Team-oriented and reliable with a steady work ethic

Job Description
JOB TITLE: Laser Machine Operator
SUPERVISED BY: Laser Supervisor/Warehouse Superintendent
Provides the set up, operation and maintenance of Laser cutting machines. Plans for the efficient operation of the laser and works with the Laser Programmer to coordinate the laser production in an efficient manner. Ability to fulfill general Warehouse and Processor duties as assigned or needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Measure stock length with laser device.
· Load and unload material from machine.
· Clean lens, align and change nozzle.
· Operate overhead cranes, forklift, Warehousing, sheering, and sawing.
· Load, edit and delete programs.
· Measure parts with tape, calipers, mics, radius gauges, square and protractor.
· Read prints or digital files to insure part conforms to customer's design.
· Adjust parameters to insure optimal cut quality.
· Properly identify and process paperwork necessary for material handling and production recording in metalware.
· Properly & accurately fill out inspection and daily Laser log.
· General maintenance and cleaning of Laser as assigned.
· Put away all drops daily.
· Maintain a safe and efficient work area.
· Good attendance is an essential function of this job.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED.
3D Machine Operator's Experience Preferred.
Laser Experience Preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer literate.
Familiarity with Fanuc 3D Controller.
Laser cutting experience.
Metrology skills.
Ability to read complex 3D drawings.
