Berkeley College is seeking a Shuttle Bus/Delivery Driver/Light Maintenance Associate to join our team in Woodland Park, NJ. This full-time position will participate in efforts to ensure the facility is operational and be able to drive a 15-passenger shuttle van and cargo van. Pick up and drop off students and staff from the campus located in Woodland Park to the train station in Paterson or Newark Penn Station. Other campuses and destinations as needed for other events. In addition to shuttle bus driving, individuals will be responsible for helping out campus maintenance on an as needed basis. Other duties as assigned at the direction of the Director of Buildings and Grounds. Job Requirements: * Able to drive a passenger van and cargo van (no commercial license needed) * Driver's license in favorable standing * Ability to travel between locations in New Jersey and New York City as needed * Ability to adhere to routine shuttle schedule. * Maintain van maintenance logs, routine fluid checkups and interior cleanliness of van. * Able to come in during inclement weather to maintain facility with team members including snow events. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Help maintenance staff with event setups when not driving. * Light maintenance work when not driving * During winter season, required to help remove snow with team when needed overnight or weekends. Salary Range: $32,000 to $33,000 Job Location and Hours: * This is an onsite position Hours: * Monday - Thursday - 11 AM to 7 PM * Saturday - 8AM - 4PM * Able to work a flexible schedule if required Educational Requirement: * High school diploma or GED. * Must be 18 years of age. Responsibilities: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip evaluation and complete all required documentation of assigned vehicle on a daily basis, following the company operation procedure. Execute scheduled route plans. Use handheld device for routing information, customer delivery information, and communication with assigned depot. Responsible for the safe and accurate loading, transporting and unloading of CO2 products for delivery. Obtains required signatures from customers as needed. Ensures assigned delivery vehicle receives basic servicing according to the maintenance schedule. Maintains professional demeanor, and customer service orientation in daily deliveries to customers. Completes logs and reports as requested. Maintains basic records of truck mileage, deliveries made, and other pertinent data as needed. Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed. CDL B Truck Driver Qualifications: Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and frequently maneuver 56-175 pounds. Have the ability to pull and retract a fill hose with distance up to 100 feet. Possess a CDL B license, tanker, hazmat endorsement, no airbrake restrictions and possess a current medical card. Must have 1-year commercial driving experience. The Regional Driver CDL B-C operates straight truck equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers, and their Vendor's to their final destination. This position may be assigned to business units that require White Glove service that goes beyond standard shipping methods. The role must have good time management and communications skills to ensure that the product is delivered in a safe and timely manner.
