Student Educational Opportunity (SEO) Tutor
JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of this job is to work with students to develop sustainable study skills, clarify information relevant to the coursework, and build a positive attitude with the student toward higher education and constructive learning. SEO/Academic Services provides tutorial support to students in multiple educational grant programs.
The position offers flexible scheduling and the amount of hours worked per week is based on the number of requests for tutoring from SEO students and the courses that the tutor is able to teach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a tutor, primary job responsibilities will be meeting with 1-5 students per semester to check on progress within the class, answer relevant questions, and challenge the student to best utilize their course materials to improve in the class.
Tutors need to be excellent and flexible communicators via phone, Zoom, email, and in-person.
Tutors are highly encouraged to attend regular SEO tutor trainings as well as the CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) trainings provided by the STEP tutoring program.
Tutors will also need to maintain some additional documentation for record-keeping purposes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: At least three semesters of postsecondary education.
Experience: Must have received at least a 'B' in a class that they wish to tutor (although an 'A' is preferred).

JOB PURPOSE:
The Student Success Services (SSS) Project Director will manage the financial, personnel, operational, and student services functions of the Student Success Services Program in the office of Student Educational Opportunity (SEO). This grant-funded program serves University of Wyoming undergraduates who are first-generation students from limited-income families and students with disabilities by providing holistic advising support to facilitate good academic standing, persistence, and timely graduation from UW. Manage and implement program operations with the goal of meeting or exceeding annual objectives related to participants' academic success and progression. Manage program budget, personnel, participant recruitment, services, and annual reporting effectively and in compliance with federal regulations and SEO policies and procedures. Maintain current knowledge of federal legislation, regulations, and priorities pertaining to TRIO programs.

Implement and manage appropriate and successful participant recruitment drives and provision of services in order to achieve federally mandated program objectives.

JOB TITLE:
Engineering Student Internship
JOB PURPOSE:
The Engineering Student Internship provides students with practical, hands-on experience in an engineering office, supporting the planning, design, and execution of construction and remodeling projects. This part-time, non-benefited position offers flexible hours during the spring and fall semesters (minimum 10 hours per week) and full-time opportunities during the summer. Interns will gain exposure to project coordination, budget management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, preparing them for future careers in engineering and construction management.

Assist in the coordination and management of construction and remodeling projects from initial estimate through project completion.
Support project management within designated budgets, typically ranging from $500 to $50,000, and obtain authorization for any budget adjustments.
Collaborate with Facilities Construction and Utilities Management teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with university standards.
Maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, and status reports.
Conduct site visits as needed to verify construction progress and document existing conditions.
Communicate effectively with contractors, campus stakeholders, and team members to resolve project issues.
Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD or Revit to create or update project drawings and models.
Assist with technical research, reporting, and preparation of project-related materials.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist professional engineers and project managers in preparing estimates, design documents, bid packages, and project specifications.
Conduct field investigations, collect data, and document existing conditions to support design and construction efforts.
Perform site inspections during construction to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Update project records, drawings, and as-built documentation in coordination with Facilities Engineering, Utilities Management, and Facilities Construction teams.
Participate in internal project meetings and contribute to discussions related to design solutions, scheduling, and cost management.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and utilities staff to coordinate project activities and resolve field challenges.
Research materials, equipment, and sustainable design practices applicable to university projects.
Provide general administrative and technical support to Facilities Engineering staff as needed.

Education: Must be a current University of Wyoming student.
