Detailed Description
Advise project teams involved in design-build and related projects, either in a contractor role, designer role, or both, as to appropriate contractual terms in a variety of settings.
Review RFPs and the associated contracts, provide contract risk assessments including proposed contract changes and exceptions and suggest risk mitigation measures.
Be responsible to draft and review a variety of agreements, including NDAs, teaming agreements, joint ventures, prime contracts, and subcontracts.
Maintain close working relationships with applicable leadership team, sales and delivery managers, other members of the legal department, as well as other internal core services groups necessary to achieve comprehensive review and risk assessment (cybersecurity, tax, insurance, etc.).
Serve as one of the organization's contacts to address questions related to existing contracts and contract processes.
Prioritize between multiple projects on a time-sensitive basis.
Desired Skills and Experience
A minimum of 8 years working as a contracts manager or similar role
Substantial knowledge and experience with design-build projects and standard contract forms (such as DBIA and EJCDC), preferably in the water and wastewater industry
Experience building strong relationships with project teams and influencing decisions
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related experience
Senior level experience negotiating contracts with a pragmatic, flexible negotiation style based on sound business acumen

Description:
GBI is recruiting Ecological Monitoring Soils and Vegetation Field Technicians to work with GBI and BLM staff. Each Field Tech will work with one other technician under the supervision of a Field Lead to characterize vegetation using the terrestrial AIM core methods. In some instances, Habitat Assessment Framework (HAF), and/or other supplemental protocols will be performed, for which training will be provided. Aside from core AIM sampling, any supplemental protocols implemented will vary by location.
Duties include following established field protocols to perform vegetation sampling and field data collection at new and existing sampling plots. Data will be used by resource specialists and land managers to inform decisions regarding land management at various temporal and spatial scales. During field work, car camping for 7 night “hitches” in remote locations will typically be required.
Field work will include:
Maintaining safety awareness and practices;
Extensive 4x4 driving on unmaintained roads;
Navigating off-trail to sampling sites;
Establishing sampling plots and transects;
Identifying and describing soil horizons to help verify ecological site descriptions (ESDs);
Collecting vegetation data (including species inventory, forb diversity, species abundance, sagebrush shape, foliar cover, canopy gap, and herbaceous and woody heights);
Taking photo-points.
Additional duties include:
Regular communication with GBI support staff and agency staff;
Participation in GBI and agency trainings;
Entering data into both Field Maps and Survey 123 software;
Identifying plants to species using dichotomous keys; and
Employing extensive QA/QC data checks.
Projects, Locations and Tentative Timelines:
Locations and timelines listed below are tentative, some with potential for extension. Crews will be based out of the Reno GBI Office but work in the following BLM Field Office (FO's) areas:

Qualifications
Experience, education, or a combination in botany, range management, and or soils to meet one or both of the following:
Bachelor's degree in botany, biology, ecology, or rangeland ecology or other natural resources with coursework in plant or biological sciences or a minimum of 1 years of field data collection identifying plants; AND/OR
Bachelor's degree in plant or soil science or similar with coursework in soils or a minimum of 1 year of field data collection describing soils. Any of the 4 certifications from the Soil Science Society of America may substitute for education or experience.

General Medical Requirements: As determined by OPM the duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of fingers, wrist, elbows, shoulders, hips and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, legs and feet must function sufficiently in order for applicants to perform the duties satisfactorily.

* Recruitment Incentive: Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. The first installment of $15,000 will be paid following successful completion of Secret Service Criminal Investigator training. A second installment of $10,000 will be paid following one year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. The final installment of $15,000 will be paid after a third year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. Provision of these payments require the execution of a three-year Continued Service Agreement (CSA) with the agency. Newly hired employees who resign from the USSS prior to the expiration of the CSA will be required to repay the recruitment incentive. (NOTE: Eligibility is limited to "Newly appointed" Federal employees as defined by 5 CFR 575.102).
Applicants selected for this position will be required to sign a CSA before being assigned to an initial training class. The CSA will commit the applicant to a specified period of employment with the Secret Service upon the successful completion of training.

* Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, Geospatial Intelligence, Cartography, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technologies, or a closely related field; or
* An equivalent combination of education and GIS-related experience and/or applications programming experience, preferably experience with the ESRI ArcGIS software suite.
* Be a citizen/naturalized citizen or permanent resident alien without conditions on status of the United States of America by the date of the first test instrument
* Be at least 18 years old by the date of the first test instrument
Licenses/Certifications:
* Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid, appropriate Nevada driver's license.
* Possession of any of the following certifications is desirable:

* Participate in the LVMPD Mental Wellness Program.
* Are expected to pass a bureau proficiency test upon completion of 24 months of service to obtain Conditional Progression in the GIS classification series.
* Are subject to callout on a 24-hour basis, which requires the employee to live within the jurisdiction of LVMPD, i.e. a 25-mile radius starting at Sahara and Valley View Blvd.
* Are required to maintain a valid, appropriate Nevada driver's license.
* Vision sufficient to read the computer screen, as well as fine prints in documents.
* Hearing sufficient to hear conversations and directions in person and over the telephone.
* Dexterity and mobility sufficient to work in the office, use standard office equipment, drive a motor vehicle to visit various Department offices, and, if assigned, conduct travels both within and outside the state.
* Strength sufficient to lift and carry items, such as stacks of files, weighing up to 25 pounds.
* Endurance sufficient to stand or sit for long periods of time, as necessary.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant II for our Safety Assessment site located in Reno, Nevada.
The Veterinary Technician Assistant II will be responsible for surgical technical duties, intermediate and advanced surgical procedures.
BASIC SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting the veterinary staff in the documentation and management of all laboratory animal health cases. Also responsible for daily heath observations, preventive health care, environmental enrichment and handling and restraint of laboratory animals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform and be proficient in basic veterinary technical skills (i.e. treatments, collection of biological samples, TB tests, veterinary observations, etc).
Provide environmental enrichment for laboratory animals according to facility and Federal guidelines.
Perform animal follow-up observations as required.
Monitor animal heath, visually and by following detailed schedules.
Generate animal treatment records and perform, track and schedule follow-ups.
Assist in keeping inventory and stocking the vet rooms (i.e. drugs and supplies). Assist in organizing and maintaining the vet exam rooms.
Clean animal areas, transports animals and maintains related equipment.
Record keeping of required logs.
Observe animals and reports apparent abnormalities.
Sanitize cages and other related equipment as may be required.
Administer basic veterinary treatments to include IM injections, SC., etc.
Perform routine preventive health care skills including nail/teeth clipping/trimming, ear exams and dental exams.
Measure and distribute feed to laboratory animals in accordance with established procedures for facility.
Perform quarantine and isolation procedures as required.
Perform duties associated in the receipt, transferring and shipment of animals.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
Experience:
1-2 years related experience in a laboratory animal facility.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

ALAT preferred
