Sign and submit shipping documents such as packing slips and bills of lading to logistics leads, supervisors, and purchasing staff. Arrange parts on carts or pallets for transport to locations within and outside of the manufacturing facility. Document the transport of materials in the manufacturing facility by checking off parts lists, entering parts information into a database, and completing job time cards. Report damaged, defective, unidentified and obsolete parts to logistics supervisors and managers. Organize and clean warehouse, receiving, and shipping areas to facilitate the location, identification, and transport of items. Move parts to and from other departments by way of push carts, pallet jack, forklifts, or overhead cranes. Verify Quality Control signatures. The Eden Plant is a very well-established operation in Wisconsin with long term commitments for community and environmental stewardship. The Product Handler will assist both the Assistant Operator and Kiln Operator, loading pebble lime railcars and customer trucks. Additionally, the position will be responsible for cleanliness of assigned areas. Duties are usually performed during a 12-hour rotating shifts. The swing shift is a 2-2-3 rotation; work 2, off 2, work 3, off 2, work 2, off 3 and repeats itself. Every time you come back to work you switch shifts between days and night. It adds up to working every other weekend and once a month you have a long weekend off, starting at 6am Friday until Tuesday 6am. The plant runs 24/7/365 and if your schedule falls on the holidays you are expected to work the holiday unless you have approved time off. Shift: Monday - Thursday; 2:00PM - 12:30AM Essential Functions: * Manually load all units and warehouse items onto delivery trucks * Use a hand-held scanner to locate items and load them onto the trucks. * May have to make minor repairs on a product if found damaged. * Move any damaged or non-conforming items from the loading dock to the appropriate area for rework or RTV. * May require operation of forklift - training and certification provided. * Assure proper housekeeping and organization on the loading dock, including outside the loading doors. * Strive to meet team efficiencies without compromising the quality of loading accurately. * Perform other duties as assigned.
