Responsibilities
As a Dock Worker, you will load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner. Although DFL Dock Workers do not work inside a warehouse, you must maximize space when loading freight.
Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment
Properly document all freight control processes
Participate in Dayton Freight's training and improvement programs
Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual
Qualifications
18 years of age
Basic math skills
Fluent in English
Able to pass a drug screen

Position Summary:
The Material Handler will provide a constant flow of raw material to injection presses in the Production area and any auxiliary equipment to achieve maximum productivity.
Key Tasks:
Mix resin as directed.
Place grinder at each press.
Have material and auxiliary equipment properly tagged for use.
Pull and clean hoppers and grinders at job's completion.
Monitor dryers as needed.
Must be able to set-up and troubleshoot all material auxiliary equipment.
Must understand 5-S and Lean Manufacturing concept.
Keep work areas clean and safe.
Use 5-S suggestion form for set-up, process, or other improvements.
Must have knowledge of plastic product material handling.
Must be able to drive a forklift.
Attention to Detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Must have an aptitude for basic math.
Ability to read and understand English.
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
Ability to take direction from Supervisors/Manager
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for eight hours.
