Purpose Statement
The Material Handler will coordinate the flow of raw materials, work in progress, and the finished product effectively and accurately.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with housekeeping safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
* Adhere to GMP guidelines for personal practices regarding hygiene and cleanliness.
* Hand-stacking of individual cakes (eaches) to build pallets.
* Assist with manual conversion of eaches into cases using case packing equipment as necessary.
* Assist with Palletizer and Shrink Wrap operations as necessary.
* Keep work area clean.
* Provide coverage in other departments when needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
* Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

SUMMARY
Responsible for the movement of materials at Goodwill Store or Outlet to include loading and unloading of trucks, assisting customers with donations and purchases, preparing donated goods for processing and display, and disposal of non-saleable goods and waste. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follow verbal instructions or read work orders to determine materials and containers to be moved.
Assist donors by carrying donated merchandise from their vehicle into the store; assist customers by carrying heavy/bulky purchases to their vehicle.
Sort, price and grade newly arrived goods.
Convey materials to and/or from storage or work areas to designated areas using hand truck, carts, pallet jack or straddle stacker.
May use equipment to handle, move and/or dispose of materials, i.e. trash compactor, tipping equipment.
Stock shelves, counters and tables.
Count, weigh and/or record number of units of material moved or handled and prepare inventory of stock, as required.
Assist in preparation of all shipping documentation for materials being shipped from premises. Ensure contents of crates are clearly labeled. Install strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, when loading Goodwill trucks for pick-up/delivery. Install load bars as required.
Lift heavy objects by hand and maintain clean work area, machines and/or equipment.
Assist at designated retail outlets to sort, move or set up fixtures, move donated goods and other related duties as assigned.
Remove snow/ice from sidewalks and surrounding grounds to ensure a safe environment for staff, customers, visitors and clients at any Agency location, as assigned.

Work Hours/ Shift/ Remote
7 am - 3:30 pm
Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
Inspect carriers/trailers of inbound and outbound shipments and report to WH Coordinator any discrepancies.
Escorts drivers always when in the facility and ensure gowning procedures are followed.
Receives and unloads freight, checks for damaged goods, verifies items and quantities received with BOL, Packing List, PO, etc.
Moves materials as required for sampling, inspection, status label changes, and ensure proper labeling.
Move materials from Quarantine to Released or Rejected areas as directed by Warehouse Management and ensure storage locations are updated on daily basis by working with Warehouse Coordinator.
Perform dispensing activities for Packaging and Raw materials and ensure cGMP and GDP practices by closely working with QA department.
Picks materials from Released inventory following GMP rules as required per production schedule, pick list, or production record requirement.
Make the necessary documentation entries
Deliver materials to specified locations using PIT.
Load outbound freight as specified in BOL's after confirming material or production descriptions, lot numbers, count and quantities using PIT.
Perform inventory counts as required.
Perform daily PIT inspections before operations.
Operate company trucks to transfer materials between facilities.
Follow and ensure compliance of safety standards in all Warehouse areas.
Maintains assigned areas in a clean and orderly state. Performs minor and spot cleaning as required.
Verifies documentation and reports for accuracy
Complies will all aspects of quality management system, cGMP policies, documentation and record keeping in accordance with industry and FDA standards and Safety and sanitation regulations.
Other duties assigned as required by Warehouse Management.
Education Qualifications
High School Diploma (or equivalent experience)
Experience
Minimum two to five (5) years of direct work experience in warehousing. Preference given to those with experience in pharmaceutical warehousing.
Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification.
Skills/ Competencies
Minimum Two to five (5) years of direct work experience in warehousing. Preference given to those with experience in pharmaceutical warehousing.
High School Diploma (or equivalent experience)
Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification.
Basic knowledge in FOOD/OTC or another FDA Regulated Warehouse/materials environment
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in dispensing / sampling pharmaceutical goods.
Must have legible handwriting, and the ability to perform accurate documentation.
Must be able to count accurately, and have good basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
