As the Chief Medical Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the clinical operations of our health centers, as well as providing direct care to our patients. You will work closely with our healthcare team which also includes behavioral health and pharmacy to provide medical oversight, develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local healthcare providers and community partners. You will provide clinical supervision and mentorship to staff and collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and access to care.

As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for participating in the daily operations of the Supportive Services Team. The Quality Assurance Coordinator assists with work distribution, quality assurance, implementing quality improvement activities, team training, and tracking data as directed by grant requirements.

What You Will Do
Supports, identifies, develops, and facilitates case management training based on the needs for new employee orientation and ongoing team training.
Participates in the day-to-day monitoring of Case Managers' productivity and quality standards using standard work expectations. Completes monthly auditing of case management files and provides feedback to SSM and case managers for improvement, facilitates goal setting with teams and individuals for improvement, and ongoing tracking for improvement. Ensures customer experience standards are maintained
In coordination with the SSM, mentors and trains Case Managers on workflows, procedures, data entry, caseload management and organization.
Under the direction of the Supportive Services Manager, support department quality/process improvement projects and maintain records of improvement work, visual tracking for the team, and reports on progress.
Monitors and documents client contacts, goal progress and significant occurrences, according to grant guidelines, and PHC policy and procedures.
Administers the transportation and wellness programs, on-site food pantry, and maintains fleet vehicles in working order.
Qualifications You Need to Bring
Required:
Associate's degree in human services or other related field, or 2 years of experience in a helping profession.
2 years of case management experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Process/Quality improvement background
Proficient in computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness and ability to learn health information technology.
Organization, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
Professional with the ability to maintain calm in all situations; ability to show empathy while maintaining professional boundaries.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Preferred:
Experience working in a community health center.
1 year as a Case Manager with the Project of Primary Health Care, in good standing
Experience with healthcare data or electronic medical records.
Experience in a medical environment, including patient registration and use of medical terminology.
Language proficiency in Spanish or other languages spoken by PHC's patient population.
Proficiency with computer applications including i2i Tracks/population management systems, electronic medical records, etc.
Knowledge of third-party payers and associated regulations.

Candidates with extensive work experience related to this position may be considered for additional compensation up to the pay grade maximum of $30.87 per hour. The Case Manager I is responsible for assisting clients being served in one of PHC's social service programs (those who are living with HIV/AIDS) through needs assessment, case management, and advocacy with community partners. The Case Manager I provides services according to grant guidelines. Contact may occur in non-traditional settings. Demonstrates iCare values in daily work.
What You Will Be Doing
Completes intakes and ongoing assessment with clients to identify needs, develop goals, and access resources and services. May assist clients with application process for entitlement programs.
Monitors and documents client contacts, needs, goals, progress, and significant occurrences, according to grant guidelines and PHC policies and procedures.
Facilitates coordination with other PHC services, including medical, dental, mental health, and substance use, as well as referrals for services with external agencies, including emergency and crisis services.
Advocates for clients with community agencies, schools, significant others and other appropriate agencies.
Ensures clients have access to transportation to necessary appointments as appropriate, assisting with client transportation in accordance with PHC transportation policy.
Communicates with other agencies on behalf of clients using professional discretion with client information, ensuring that appropriate releases of information are obtained.
Conducts outreach activities at community agencies, community gatherings, neighborhoods, shelters, and other appropriate venues as requested. Serves as a liaison between PHC and community resources.

As an Accounting and Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accounts payable coding, recording and check writing functions. In addition, processing bi-weekly payroll and ensuring resolution of payroll related problems.
This is a part time, 25 hours per week position. Schedule will be Monday - Friday, 5 hour shifts per day.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsible for the accounts payable function at PHC, including accurately coding, reviewing other's coding, reviewing invoice for reasonableness, recording all properly approved invoices, preparing checks for payment and filing in a timely manner.
Reconciles A/P subsidiary ledger to general ledger trial balance monthly,
Responsible for the payroll function at PHC, including entering approved time and employee changes. Ensures accurate and timely payroll processing by utilizing established payroll audit procedures each processing period. Ensures resolution of problems and follows up with payroll vendor as needed. Monitors payroll records and transactions to ensure the organization's compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
Responsible for all wage attachments, such as garnishments, child support orders, etc., ensuring accurate entry into the payroll system, reconciliation and reporting requirements are met.
Maintains the payroll database. Troubleshoots routine issues with vendors. Assists employees with self-service components of payroll.
Responsible for quarterly and year-end payroll related reporting, including W-2's and quarterly tax related reporting.
Assists in preparation of assigned financial and statistical data, including assigned general ledger reconciliations, monthly monitoring of various expenses for UDS purposes, and analyzing expenses for budgeting.
Answers routine questions pertaining to payroll and paychecks.
Prepares deposits and securely takes to the bank for proper deposit.
Researches and prepares annual 1099 forms as required.
Works as part of the PHC team to ensure financial success and viability of the organization, with constant emphasis on quality improvement.
Cooperates with all staff in the achievement of assigned work in the manner assigned, including following instructions issued by management staff.

As a Clinical Training Specialist, you will be responsible for improving competency, skill sets, productivity and satisfaction of the clinical staff through orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training. The position will complete and report on assessments of competency and clinical training needs. Develops curriculum, and facilitates and evaluates training of medical clinical support staff. The position facilitates learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training and on-the-job coaching to ensure effective and successful delivery is accomplished. Assist in development of training plans. Contribute to the development of training, meeting evidence-based practice and standards and regulations based on credentials of the staff receiving the training.
Facilitate clinical staff employee training including technical skills, critical/analytical skills, and soft skills necessary for quality patient care. CLIA Waived Testing coordination, training, and monitoring. Supports Basic Life Support training and compliance reporting. Partner with Training Coordinator to ensure cohesive and effective training and onboarding experience for new and existing staff.
Reports on training data. Analyzes information and provides feedback regarding data driven process, quality, and performance improvement.
Evaluate results and staff performance after training has been provided, including the quality assurance of training efforts to ensure employees are complying with organizational and regulatory standards.
Participate in Clinical Risk Management and related performance improvement activities. Participate in Joint Commission accreditation of designated chapters- Waived Testing and National Patient Safety Goals. Participate on committees and project groups as part of an interdisciplinary team aligning clinical training support with the needs of the organization.
Collaborate with direct supervisor and Human Resources to address performance concerns and develop a plan for employee success to include additional training as needed.

Qualifications You Need to Bring
Required:
Completion of an accredited nursing program accepted by the Iowa Board of Nursing for candidates with LPN or RN licensure or high school diploma or equivalent for candidates with MA certification.
5 years clinical nursing or clinic experience
1 year of work experience providing/coordinating training
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Counsels patients and/or medical practitioners on new prescriptions, drug interactions/contraindications, dosage, and side effects. Communicates other drug and pharmaceutical information as appropriate and answers questions.
Manages the acquisition and disbursement of drugs and medications to clinics; performs audits to ensure regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Medical Director, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient care services to the Primary Health Care, Inc. As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for participating in the daily operations of the Supportive Services Team. The Quality Assurance Coordinator assists with work distribution, quality assurance, implementing quality improvement activities, team training, and tracking data as directed by grant requirements.

What You Will Do
Supports, identifies, develops, and facilitates case management training based on the needs for new employee orientation and ongoing team training.
Participates in the day-to-day monitoring of Case Managers' productivity and quality standards using standard work expectations. Completes monthly auditing of case management files and provides feedback to SSM and case managers for improvement, facilitates goal setting with teams and individuals for improvement, and ongoing tracking for improvement. Ensures customer experience standards are maintained
In coordination with the SSM, mentors and trains Case Managers on workflows, procedures, data entry, caseload management and organization.
Under the direction of the Supportive Services Manager, support department quality/process improvement projects and maintain records of improvement work, visual tracking for the team, and reports on progress.
Monitors and documents client contacts, goal progress and significant occurrences, according to grant guidelines, and PHC policy and procedures.
Administers the transportation and wellness programs, on-site food pantry, and maintains fleet vehicles in working order.
Qualifications You Need to Bring
Required:
Associate's degree in human services or other related field, or 2 years of experience in a helping profession.
2 years of case management experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Process/Quality improvement background
Proficient in computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness and ability to learn health information technology.
Organization, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
Professional with the ability to maintain calm in all situations; ability to show empathy while maintaining professional boundaries.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Preferred:
Experience working in a community health center.
1 year as a Case Manager with the Project of Primary Health Care, in good standing
Experience with healthcare data or electronic medical records.
Experience in a medical environment, including patient registration and use of medical terminology.
Language proficiency in Spanish or other languages spoken by PHC's patient population.
Proficiency with computer applications including i2i Tracks/population management systems, electronic medical records, etc.
Knowledge of third-party payers and associated regulations.

Candidates with extensive work experience related to this position may be considered for additional compensation up to the pay grade maximum of $30.87 per hour. What You Will Do
Supports and empowers clients throughout the HIV health care continuum to include holistic counseling, problem-solving “barriers to care” issues, and coaching clients as needed regarding treatment and medication adherence, healthy life choices, and self-help behaviors.
Provides care coordination to address management of co-morbidities to satisfy HIV health maintenance protocols.
Completes RW Part C new patient coordinated intakes accurately and timely, according to established coordinated care workflows.
Performs nursing assessment/medical triage of acute medical issues and medication side effects and refers or monitors appropriately.
Thoroughly and accurately documents all patient encounters in the electronic medical record and assists with data collection, data management and data integrity according to grant guidelines.
Provides HIV and STI education to patients appropriate to their identified learning considerations and needs.
Assists with scheduling and tracking of outpatient referrals for program patients.
Assists clients in accessing specialty medical, mental health, substance abuse and other support services through community agencies.
Qualifications You Need to Bring
Required:
Registered Nurse with license recognized by the State of Iowa Board of Nursing and BLS certified.

Job Description
As an Interpreter at PHC, you will provide excellent customer service to patients, clients, providers, and staff. This position typically works at PHC at Mercy Family Medicine Residency Clinic and is scheduled Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM. You may occasionally be needed to cover other shifts or to work at other PHC clinics in Ames, Des Moines, and Marshalltown. Mileage reimbursement and/or an out of town travel bonus may apply.
What You Will Do
Provides accurate and effective interpretation of the patient or client encounter, including medical or dental procedures. Interaction may occur in person and/or on the telephone.
