General Statement The ESOL instructor is a member of a team of professionals that implement the mission and vision of Quinsigamond Community College's, Adult Community Learning Center. The instructor is primarily responsible for the preparation and presentation of instruction that is relevant to our students' lives, using the program's curriculum that is aligned with Massachusetts ELPS (English Language Proficiency Standards). Our instructors are closely involved in the assessment of student skills including ongoing communication with the students regarding their progress toward their individual goals. This is a part-time (PT), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Instructor position that is funded through a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
Supervision Received
The ESOL instructor reports to the Program Coordinator of the Adult Community Learning Center.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare, maintain, and submit electronic weekly class plans aligned to the program's curriculum and interests of students.
* Integrate civics education, digital literacy, financial literacy, and workforce preparation in the classroom that is aligned to WIOA priorities.
* Provide rigorous academic instruction in the core ESOL areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening to adult learners.
* Prepare and submit to the Program Coordinator two engaging and completed lesson plans for a substitute instructor that contains details, links to materials and other helpful information in the event a substitute teacher is needed for your class. Due by October 1st (or within one month of hire date). It is expected that all teachers will have two lessons on file with their Coordinator.
* Meet individually with students once per semester to review their progress. Conferences should include examples of student work, informal and formal assessments, and complete conference forms.
* Prepare and distribute a course syllabus to the students at the start of each semester.
* Develop and implement class educational objectives based on students' needs.
* Communicate frequently with individual students regarding their progress towards their goals.
* Work collaboratively with other teachers in the program to ensure a curriculum that is coordinated across levels.
* Attend and participate in staff meetings including common planning, curriculum development and ongoing professional and program development activities.
* Complete 10 hours of professional development each school year.
* Become proficient with the state reporting system (LACES).
* Work cooperatively with the Career and Education Case Manager to develop and implement students individual educational and career goals.
* Use the Massachusetts ELPS (English Language Proficiency Standards) to direct teaching.
* Implement evidence based instructional practices within the classroom.
* Ensures that Adult Learning Theory best practices are followed and remains current in knowledge of resources available to adult learners.
* Actively support the teaching and learning process; practicing honesty and integrity in and out of the classroom; strive to create and support a student-centered environment while fostering academic innovation and excellence.
* Work actively with other areas of the college to ensure a spirit of college wide collaboration, collegiality, civility, and teamwork. Respect the function of dissent in an academic institution while advancing a collegial atmosphere of campus collaboration.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' teaching experience in K-12, institute of higher education and/or adult education.
* Experience working with adults from diverse ethnic, racial, and linguistic groups.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Demonstrated experience delivering differentiated instruction.
* Experience and skill using industry-standard computer applications, such as Office 365.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's Degree in English, education, or related field

General Statement The Senior System Administrator is tasked with on-premise data center hardware installation and maintenance, including the setup of new servers, the enhancement of existing hardware to maintain optimal performance, and maintaining a server lifecycle retire/acquire process. Senior System Administrator is also tasked with managing the host servers, hypervisor, and VM instances for server virtualization. Responsibilities extend to managing cloud platforms by configuring and maintaining cloud computing, storage, and services in environments such as AWS and/or Azure. Duties and Responsibilities
* Develops procedures for, manages, and executes the installation of server operating system software and application software for both on-premise and in the cloud.
* Prepares specifications and quotes for server hardware/cloud purchases and upgrades.
* Develops and implements procedures for preventative maintenance on file servers, including operating system and application service pack updates and patches.
* Collects and maintains server and network performance statistics.
* Develops and documents file server configurations, including resolution and documentation of file server failures.
* Develop procedures for and oversees file server hardware and software upgrades.
* Coordinates file server migrations.
* Develops procedures for, oversees, and implements the College's printing infrastructure.
* Develop procedures for server Disaster Recovery

General Statement of Duties: The Staff Associate, Postdoctoral Researcher in Star Formation and Magnetic Fields will conduct research in collaboration with Dr. Ian Stephens at Worcester State University (WSU). The incumbent will work with data from the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA). Part of the funding is to build a single, unified dataset of all HAWC+ polarization data for star-forming regions. Other funds will be used to analyze HAWC+ polarization data to understand the magnetic fields of specific regions in the Gould Belt. Funding is available for 2 years, with a third year possible if more funding is secured. General Statement of Duties
The Student Director, Corporate and Experiential Learning, supports two key areas within the Career Development Center: Experiential Learning and Corporate Engagement. This role is ideal for a student leader interested in gaining experience in project coordination, professional communication, digital marketing, and cross-functional collaboration across academic and corporate settings.
The Student Director, Corporate and Experiential Learning, plays a key leadership role in advancing the Career Development Center's strategic initiatives. By coordinating tasks, supporting two critical focus areas, and modernizing marketing outreach, this position helps increase student access to experiential learning and strengthen employer partnerships across campus.
Responsibilities:
1. Event & Task Management
Collaborate with the Student Director, Events Coordination, to enter events into Trello and supervise and assign tasks to Peer Assistants in a timely manner. Track progress alongside the Events Coordinator to ensure all projects remain on schedule. Supervise, follow up on assignments and support the workflow of Peer Assistants aligned with Corporate Engagement and Experiential Learning initiatives.
2. Experiential Learning Support
Assist the Experiential Learning Coordinator with organizing internship, practicum, and fieldwork opportunities across academic programs. Help track and organize experiential learning data using spreadsheets, forms, and university systems. Support outreach efforts to students and faculty to increase awareness of experiential learning options. Participate in the creation of materials that help students understand the value and expectations of experiential learning.
3. Corporate Engagement Support
Assist with scheduling and logistics for employer visits, including on-campus recruiting, info sessions, and classroom presentations. Help maintain the employer database and update engagement activity using Salesforce or other relevant platforms. Support communication efforts between employers, faculty, and the Career Development Center. Represent the CDC at career fairs and employer events as needed.
4. Marketing & Communications
Lead marketing efforts for Corporate Engagement and Experiential Learning events. Create short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram to promote events and opportunities. Collaborate with the digital media team to move away from flyers and toward a modern, engaging digital outreach strategy.
