ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for prompt feed delivery in bulk, bag or liquid. Performs daily truck inspections with documentation. Filling out DOT and maintenance logs. Maintains and services feed truck to make sure it is in proper working order. Assists in monitoring inventories of bulk, liquid, and bagged feed. Follows policies and procedures of HACCP program. Helps with the loading of feed products for customers. Assists with scale and counter operations. Supports feed sales and marketing efforts. Helps manage and conduct inventory. Communicates customer complaints to supervisor. Provides excellent customer service and customer relations. Performs general maintenance of buildings, equipment and vehicles, including necessary documentation. Maintains professional appearance and cleanliness of trucks. Assists in ensuring that paperwork is completed accurately and timely. Comply with current Central Valley Ag credit policies. Maintains and promotes a safe work environment. Assists other divisions and locations as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES There are no supervisory roles with the position REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE 1 to 3 years driving experience preferred. High School or GED diploma. Class A CDL or Class B CDL and training in OSHA and DOT requirements or ability to obtain Class A CDL. Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers. Good basic mechanical skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Understand and efficiently operate liquid and dry fertilizer plants, chemical containment buildings, and NH3 plants. Collaborate with agronomy procurement to manage inventory, price and quantity needs, and delivery timing. Learn & understand agronomy operations, contracts, work orders, logistics, dispatching and other agronomy related functions. Understand customer licensing requirements for restricted-use pesticides. Understand the capabilities and limitations of equipment (floaters, rogators, tenders, etc.). Maintain and understand records of chemical repackaging agreements and shuttle record keeping. Responsible for unloading train cars with agronomy products. Direct assigned area inventory control of agronomy products and/or grain to limit shrink, non-billed products and services, theft, damage, aging, and deterioration. Ensure personnel and physical assets meet company safety, environmental, health, regulatory, maintenance, quality and customer standards - champion of safety compliance throughout the organization. Follow safety procedures in maintaining warehouses. Understand weighing systems and closely follow established procedures. Assist patrons at the location in a professional and courteous manner with agronomic purchasing decisions. Coordinates with custom applicators and tanks on the spreading, spraying and delivery of bulk fertilizer to assure the most cost effective use of equipment. Partner with and understands the functional roles of the other Central Valley Ag team members to improve the efficiency and profitability of the assigned location. Assist other employees in attaining Central Valley Ag company goals. Participate in and completes company required training programs. Plan, assign and direct work. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES Some Locations, yes and some Locations, no. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE High School or GED diploma. Minimum of three years' experience in an agronomy role required. Proven history of delivery of results required. Takes responsibility for the way money and resources are used and managed. We believe in a culture of constant improvement. Hauls feed ingredients from processor to feed mills. Hauls grain from location to location. Hauls dry fertilizer to locations. Hauls grain from farm to terminal. Maintains documentation as required by state and federal regulations. Maintains electronic log book as required. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition. Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of semi. Completes daily & weekly reports in an accurate and timely fashion. Operates semi in a safe and courteous manner. Assists in loading and unloading truck. Maintains appearance of tractor/trailer. Provides excellent customer service and customer relations. Listens to service complaints and notifies supervisor of those complaints. Maintains clean and customer friendly work environment. Assists other divisions and locations as needed. Follows all trailer cleanout procedures for the Food Safety Modernization Act. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES There are no supervisory duties. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE 1-2 years experience preferred. Class A Commercial Drivers License or ability to obtain one. Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements preferred. High school or GED diploma Great understanding of the trucking industry in the CVA trade area preferred. Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers. Works in a way that demonstrates safety is a priority.
