Must check machines and make necessary adjustments to keep machines running efficiently, including but not limited to labelers, coders, lidder detectors, box makers, glue pots, etc. Must be able to change over all packers and robots to different sizes, and labels in a safe, efficient and sanitary manner. Must be able to clean and sanitize, all packers and robots in a safe and sanitary manner. Packer is responsible for correct codes, cup and lids, and correct fill to orders. Must be able to assist other operators during shift. Must be able to correctly count all products packed. Packer is responsible for all paperwork to be complete and turned in daily to supervision. Work area and machines must be kept clean and sanitary at all times. Must report all lost or damaged product. Must communicate via radio with filler, warehouse, foreman, and supervision during shift to insure minimal down time. Must be able to input information into ASC Trac. All jobs must be completed as required by Federal, State and Saputo Food Standards Employee must follow all Safety and Regulatory Policy's All Other Duties as assigned by supervisors or managers Key Attributes Must possess strong work character and ability to lead others in the organization to protect the quality of our products and to ensure food safety standards are met. Be a champion for product quality and food safety - this includes ensuring GMP's and Sanitation requirements are strictly adhered to. Physical Demands Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment throughout the shift. Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures. Physical lifting up to 40-lbs intermittently throughout shift without assistance, 50-lbs with assistance. Shift flexibility. This is a support role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Shifts can either be days, swing or night shift and may include working weekends. Work days and shifts may change to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or quality related events such as audits. All CBA provisions apply. From your PASSION to ours Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, this position's main responsibility is following the ammonia refrigeration operational procedures to safely service and maintain all ammonia refrigeration equipment and components. Assist in maintaining the Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations within the scope of Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA requirements (RMP). From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: Be able to follow ammonia refrigeration operational procedures to safely service and maintain all ammonia refrigeration equipment and components. Assist in maintaining the Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations within the scope of Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA requirements (RMP) Be able to pump out, disassemble, repair, and reassemble all types of refrigeration equipment while adhering to all mandated safety procedures Troubleshoot and repair ammonia compressors. Be able to be responsible for air compressors, boilers, generators, thermal fluid systems, HVAC systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, and water chilling systems and reporting any ammonia leakages. Also perform daily PMs on the equipment and perform boiler tests and condenser treatment tests. Be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical devices such as fuses, motors, motor starters, proximity switches, circuit breakers, receptacles and plugs. Note: PLC experience is a plus. Be able to use electrical equipment such as a volt meter and amp meter to determine electrical malfunctions on fuses, motors, motor starters and switches. Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standards as outlined in the plant's QRMP accountability document, including the implementation, improvement and ongoing maintenance.
