The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site in a safe manner. This individual will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled. Responsibilities
Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
Clean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer
Must be willing to work according to customer demands
Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management
Education
High School Diploma/GED
Requirements/Qualifications
Must have current Commercial Class A or B driver's license with airbrakes and tank endorsement
Safe driving record (will have to provide DMV H-6 printout) - no serious moving violations within the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
Must have a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions
Must have familiarity with slumps
Good attendance and punctuality a must
Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather
Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears
Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations
Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends and nights, may be required
Preferred:
Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction industries
2+ years of commercial driving experience

Have a specific plan to address any other possible attendance barriers that arise during adverse weather and other emergencies, such as disrupted utilities or public services, road closures, school closures, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY
Our Driver will ensure the safe transportation of our residents to and from various destinations, such as appointments or activity group outings, assisting them with safe onboarding and offboarding as necessary. Prepare the van/bus for operation and coordinate necessary vehicle maintenance.

Maintain a current driving license per state regulations to perform transportation services.
