Job Title: Part Time Childcare Worker Mayville State University Child Development Programs is hiring Childcare Workers who are responsible for providing classroom educational services to children ages 0-5. The purpose of this position is to assist the classroom teacher with the care and supervision of children enrolled in the program, along with performing basic childcare related duties. Childcare workers do not have guaranteed hours, but are called on an as needed basis when the sites are short staffed or need additional coverage for special events. The Seasonal Trades Worker supports the Facilities Management team by assisting skilled trades staff with maintenance, repairs, and construction tasks with buildings, structures, and outdoor amenities. and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This position is responsible to assist the department in the documentation and processing of applicable codes, ordinances, rules and regulations of the City. This work is performed under the direction of the Building & Zoning Director. Investigates complaints regarding minor violations of City codes and property maintenance issues; determines validity of complaints. Patrols City to determine presence of violations. Photographs nuisance conditions and code violations. Documents violations; prepares correspondence to violators or owners of property and advises owners/occupants of actions necessary to correct the violations; follows-up to ensure resolution of complaints. Inputs and maintains data collected during investigations in department software. Provides assistance to other department field personnel as needed. High School diploma/equivalent. A valid motor vehicle operator's license and acceptable driving record for eligibility of City coverage. PAY RATE The position is a seasonal, non-exempt/hourly position with a starting pay rate of at least $16.54 per hour. The Seasonal Trades Worker supports the Facilities Management team by assisting skilled trades staff with maintenance, repairs, and construction tasks with buildings, structures, and outdoor amenities. This role offers direct experience in a variety of trades while helping ensure facilities remain functional and well maintained. What You'll Do Assist tradespeople with painting, carpentry, excavation, masonry, signage installation, and structural repairs involving fences, bridges, and other infrastructure. Operate hand and power tools including hammers, saws, shovels, brushes, and drills. Drive District vehicles such as vans, pickup trucks, and ATVs to transport tools and materials.
