Regular, dependable and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job. High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in one or more of the skilled trades, (e.g. plumbing, pipe laying, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, masonry, air conditioning, painting, etc.).
Valid Florida Class E Driver's License (Must maintain for the duration of employment).
Work is primarily completed during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm); however, schedule flexibility is required to effectively perform the requirements of the position. May be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
In the event of an emergency, natural or manmade disaster the employee will be expected to work.
Successful completion of a criminal background investigation including polygraph. Requires drug test prior to assuming position and if employed, will be subject to post-accident, and/or random and reasonable suspicion drug tests while employed.

About the Role:
The Laborer will be responsible for directing customers to unload yard debris at the site and perform other labor tasks necessary for operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist Heavy Equipment Operators with various tasks
Ensure a neat and safe work environment
Direct traffic at the working face
Perform random load checks
Communicate with the scale house on a regular basis
May include general landscaping and/or weed eating
Picking trash or sorting materials
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Job Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED preferred
State issued, valid driver's license may be required
Preferred Job Qualifications:
One (1) year of previous relevant work experience, preferably in the compost or similar industry
Basic awareness of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices
Other Duties:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proactively establish trust and credibility with coworkers by maintaining accountability
Contribute to the team dynamic by promoting inclusion, support, and collaboration amongst coworkers

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.
The physical demands described here are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Position requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, hearing protection, safety-toed boots, utility gloves, hard hat, reflective vest, and safety glasses.
Auditory and visual acuity to monitor surroundings, equipment sounds, and safety signals (with or without corrective devices).
Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, and kneeling required in outdoor and uneven terrain environments.
Tolerance to work in environments with strong odors, dust, humidity, and varying weather conditions (hot, cold, wet).
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 pounds regularly, and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
