(Basic Job Function) This is a temporary or on-call position. Provides support for concerts, sporting events, outdoor functions and related University special events. Duties may include working at an assigned station in a concession stand; preparing and dispensing refreshments; transporting, maintaining and arranging supplies, equipment and materials; operating a cash drawer; assisting with parking enforcement; acting as an event usher; and similar event related responsibilities. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period. Unit Position Summary This position is for event performers/musicians who will accompany the Orchestra in a variety of private, public and University performances. Other duties include playing and/or singing for studio recordings and live audiences by reading sheet music; rehearse for performances when necessary and travel to venues when required. Education, Experience & Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience with installation of either waterline, storm sewer and/or sanitary sewer. * Knowledge of elevations, reading and interpreting utility plans. * Understanding trench safety. * Experience setting up and using pipe lasers, sight transits and/or roto lasers as well as other required tools needed for the specific work being performed. * Knowledge of testing procedures for all types of utilities. * Working in deep excavations at times as well as occasional harsh weather conditions. * Ability to look and plan ahead to maintain constant production of crew. * Must be able to understand English. * Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Travel: Travel may be required for this position as the employee must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. F&B will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable.
