What's a Typical Day Like? Operator of electromechanical equipment relating to electronic circuit board assembly. Operate electromechanical solder equipment used in the assembling of electronic circuit boards in a manufacturing environment Setup and verify multiple jobs using computer generated setup sheets Communicate technical data, error data and any malfunctions of the machine to solder lead and machine support. Perform light maintenance and cleanup on production equipment. Monitor the assembly process and notify machine support to make any corrective action to ensure target defect goals Program machine as required to perform soldering application to IPC-A-610 acceptability standards Must demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude What Are the Requirements of the Job? High School Diploma or GED Two years-experience on electromechanical or CNC type equipment. Knowledge of and skills in the use of electronic pick and place, wave soldering, water wash, etc. All work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The position requires prolonged standing. This general position supports the production process through a variety of tasks, including powder coating, finishing, and assembly work. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Powder Coat/Finishing Tasks Load parts onto the powder coating line with proper density and efficiency. Unload and inspect finished, coated parts for quality assurance. Record accurate production and quality data. Assembly Tasks Assemble and pack parts according to work orders and customer specifications. Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings. Complete basic quality checks during and after the assembly process. Use hand tools and automated equipment safely and effectively. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals and timelines are met. Other tasks and training will be assigned as needed to grow our associates and to meet customer demands Qualifications Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, quality checks, and finishing techniques. Familiarity with powder coating operations and assembly processes is a plus but not required. Familiar with work orders, blueprints, and technical documents. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Physical Abilities Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly. Comfortable standing, walking, and moving for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours). Perform repetitive tasks requiring fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead frequently. Tolerance for working in environments with varying temperatures and exposure to powder coating materials. Work Environment Team-oriented manufacturing floor. May involve exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and provided. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
