What you'll do: Position Overview: The flight captain will be directly responsible for, and the final authority as to, the operation of an aircraft. Functions as the aircraft commander with responsibility for the aircraft, crew, and passengers, ensuring that the aircraft is operated safely and within the guidelines of Eaton Flight Operations Manual and within the provisions of the Federal Aviation and International Civil Aviation Organization Regulations. This candidate will be located in Richmond Heights, Ohio if candidate is not located within a 50 mile radius of Richmond Heights, OH relocation will be provided. Job Responsibilities: * Conducts business with the highest degree of professionalism, integrity and ethical conduct guided by strict adherence to the Eaton Policies on legal and ethical conduct. * Achieves operational excellence utilizing the Eaton Business System to meet requirements and achieve objectives. * Exercises organizational ownership to aid passengers and customers in order to deliver a high level of service in accordance with Eaton's values and philosophies. * Provides for the safety and security of passengers and crewmembers. * Performs day-to-day operations in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and the Eaton Flight Operations Manual. * Supervises the First Officer to ensure the appropriate execution of required responsibilities. * Develops First Officers by demonstrating leadership with flight proficiency, aeronautical knowledge and adherence to applicable regulations, policies and procedures. * Evaluates First Officer performance by completing post-flight debriefings and periodic written evaluations. * Submits applicable forms and reports related to the flight to which they are assigned. * Works closely with Eaton's International Handler to ensure Customs/Immigrations requirements and documents have been prepared and transmitted as directed. * Exhibits a team-oriented approach by assisting co-workers with duties when possible. * Exercises emergency authority granted under federal regulations and complies with the requirements of the Eaton Flight Operations Emergency Action Plan. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: * The Flight Captain shall possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with an English Proficient endorsement and FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, the recent flight experience prescribed by FAR 61.57, and the pilot-in-command proficiency check prescribed in FAR 61.58. * The Flight Captain flight experience shall include a minimum of; 3,500 hours total time, 1,500 hours in multi-engine fixed wing aircraft, 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command in fixed wing aircraft, 500 hours jet aircraft. * The Flight Captain shall possess a current passport and be able to comply with the CANPASS rules and requirements. * Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Preferred qualifications: * Type Rating in CL30. Additional Information: Position Criteria: * The Flight Captain will be employed by Eaton Corporation, as a pilot, for not less than 3 months before being designated as pilot-in-command in an aircraft operated by Eaton corporation and shall have successfully completed training in; command skills line oriented flight, high altitude flight physiology and hypoxia symptoms, and the principles of crew resource management. This training will be accepted from another employer. * When assigned as second-in-command, a Flight Captain is operationally responsible to the designated pilot-in-command for that trip. This relationship shall remain in effect, regardless of which pilot is flying the aircraft or which pilot seat is occupied. * 75% travel required. The Senior Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Swagelok-owned aircraft while providing the highest levels of customer service to passengers. Additionally, the Senior Captain will assist with trip planning as well as Flight Operation's administrative tasks and projects. **Scope of Position:** The Senior Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operations as PIC on both a Gulfstream G600 and G280. The Senior Captain reports directly to the Aviation Operations Manager and has the final authority in the operation of the aircraft to ensure compliance with all domestic and foreign regulations that affect the flight and compliance with all policies and procedures specified in the company flight operations manual. In addition to flight duties, the Senior Captain will be expected to manage and assist others with Flight Operations support programs and projects. Time spent on travel may be up to 50%. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or second-in-command (SIC) of a Gulfstream G600 and G280. + Provide the highest levels of adaptive and conscientious customer service to passengers. + Participate and contribute to the growth of Flight Operation's Safety Management System (SMS). + Supervise other crewmembers in duties necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the company aircraft. + Delegate passenger and customer service responsibilities to other flight crew members. + Establish crew member assignments, duties and tasks. + Monitor crew member performance while in flight. + Ensure that preflight and postflight inspections/duties are completed properly to include aircraft movement/security, aircraft cleanliness, and restocking necessary provisions/catering/safety/passenger comfort items. + Analyze weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points. + Review and calculate fuel requirements, performance, and weight and balance. + Ensure all flight plans, flight logs and briefing packets are properly prepared and complete. + Use company and aircraft manufacturer checklists. + Make decisions necessary to start, delay, cancel, deviate flights from the planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate. + Comply with schedules, and other directives governing the aircraft's operation. + Collaborate with company aircraft scheduler and other crewmembers to determine trip logistics. + Communicate aircraft issues with the maintenance technicians. + Maintain regulatory and company training currency and competency in all assigned aircraft. + Attend training and enrichment courses as required. + Manage and participate in Flight Operations administrative programs and projects. **Position Requirements:** FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license, type rating in the Gulfstream G600 and/or G280 (with 500 hours in either type preferred), 2500 hours total time, 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command, 1000 hours turbine, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, current FAA First Class Medical Certificate, current U.S. passport, current U.S. driver's license, COVID-19 vaccination and no restrictions on international travel, International Flight Procedures training. Must be willing to live within one hour drive of Swagelok hangar. **Preferred Piloting Qualifications:** International piloting experience in Europe, South America and Asia. **Skills and Knowledge:** Demonstrate extensive knowledge of aircraft, operations and methods, preferably obtained by working at a corporate flight department that operates multiple, long-range international aircraft. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work as a team member, and manage/lead teams during complex projects and resolve conflict. This position requires highly developed abilities in problem solving and decision-making involving safety critical activities.
