Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Dispositions non-conforming product and works with Operations personnel to determine the root cause of production rework and scrap. Develops reports on data for management reviews. Coordinates analysis of samples sent to Metallurgical Lab for disposition and assists in sample preparation and analysis as needed. Assists in collecting data for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) orders, capability analyses, gage studies, and other areas supporting Statistical Process Control (SPC). Assists in investigating, documenting, and dispositioning material for external & internal customer claims. Participates in creating and revising work instructions and maintenance of quality records. Assists in recalling, cleaning, and calibrating inspecting instruments and gages. Performs quality audits on incoming material, procedures, and in-process and final products. Writes Non-Conformances for submitting to Quality Manager. Assist Quality Manager in other tasks or duties as needed. The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. The RA to be hired has been working on this funded project for the past two years and is now instrumental to the project's completion. You will be responsible for development of pioneering methods and protocols for cryo FIB milling with plasma FIB (pFIB) within the electron Cryo-Electron Tomography (Cryo-ET) and Volume EM workflows, using our groundbreaking Arctis and Hydra Bio cryo-plasma-FIBs. You will coordinate applications development for our cryo-FIB projects with our collaborators in a world-class cryo-imaging lab. Your role will involve cryo FIB milling to prepare cellular lamella and optimizing methods for sample preparation, with the ultimate goal of performing cryo-Electron Tomography on our Krios cryo-Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) instruments. Additionally, you will develop methods and workflows for volume imaging of high pressure frozen cellular and tissue samples using cryo Auto Slice & View and related technologies on the pFIB dual beam systems. You will build a network within the scientific community through collaborations with new and leading customers and help shape the future of cryo EM.
