About this Role
FiberTel is looking for a Vac Truck Operator for our Springville, UT location.
The Vac Truck Operator will be responsible for the safe transportation of the vac truck to and from the sites. The Operator will also operate the machine in a safe and skillful manner. The preferred applicant will help the team as needed in all capacities to successfully complete the job and will preform any additional duties as directed by the foreman. This is a pipeline position and will be a part of said crew.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee will need to be able to regularly lift 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsible for all activities associated with safely operating and caring for the clamp truck.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Take rolls of paper to the corrugator, always taking buttrolls first, and record all rolls taken to the corrugator on the proper forms.
Learn to read corrugator lineups.
Mark buttrolls as to the size, diameter, lineal footage, and grade before returning to stock.
Unload rolls from trailers and/or rail cars. Check for and note any physical damage to the rolls.
Scan rolls to location.
Use Mill wide for consumption and roll stock receipts.
Operate the clamp truck in a safe manner.
Complete clamp truck inspection report at the beginning of each shift and turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
Keep warehouse organized and clean.
Turn in roll stock tallies to the corrugator supervisor or Scheduling Department.
Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
Adheres to daily production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals.
Assist the corrugator operator as instructed by supervision.
Read related MSDS and learn proper response for emergency chemical spills or skin contact.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum high school diploma or GED required

Prior work experience in the packaging industry.

Handle materials with extreme care to prevent product damage (e.g., crushed cores, tear damage, carton damage).
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the roll storage area, warehouse, and shipping docks.
Complete necessary paperwork, logs, or use an RF scanner/WMS (Warehouse Management System) to accurately track material movements and inventory.

Job Overview:
We are seeking reliable and experienced Snow Truck Operators to join our winter operations team. As a Snow Truck Operator, you will be responsible for clearing snow from our commercial client locations including entry roads, parking lots, and other designated areas to ensure safe access for vehicles and pedestrians during winter weather events.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, skid steer, dump trucks and other snow removal equipment safely and efficiently
Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snow events
Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of vehicles and equipment
Apply salt or de-icing materials as needed
Maintain accurate logs of work performed and materials used
Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
Previous experience operating snowplow trucks or heavy equipment for large commercial and industrial properties
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physically fit and able to work in cold and challenging weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
