Responsibilities
Welcomes students by actively participating in all steps of the enrollment process (required paperwork, qualifications, campus tours, financial aid, and obtaining schedules).
Provides adequate and accurate information relative to the college and its programs.
Assist students in selecting their programs of study based upon professional judgements, available test scores, high school, and/or college transcripts.

South College Orlando learning site located in Orlando, FL, is conducting a search for the position of Clinical Nursing Faculty (instructor/assistant professor/associate professor; commensurate with experience) for the South College School of Nursing. Student Success Advisor Description
We are currently seeking an experienced academic advisor to join the South College, Orlando team of Student Success Advisors (SSA). SSAs help the students set and achieve academic goals, acquire relevant information and services, and make responsible decisions consistent with interests, goals, abilities, and degree requirements. The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of academic advising practices and be skilled in applying these practices in their work. They will understand the process of academic advising and how to deliver a personalized advising experience to each student, which includes academic outreach to at risk students, sharing program requirements, registration, and career planning.
Responsibilities
Serves as a facilitator of communication to students, faculty, and other departments
Coordinate the learning experiences of students through course and career planning and academic progress review
Act as an agent of referral to other campus agencies, as necessary
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferred.
Experience
Previous experience working with college students ideally as an academic advisor and/or in college student success and retention.
Must be comfortable with technology, strong communication skills, collaborative work ethic, and be able to prioritize and multi-task.
Must possess the skills necessary to advise via phone, email, text, and virtually.
Must be comfortable speaking to college students individually, presenting information to student groups, and can quickly develop rapport with a diverse population.
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.

General Education Department Chair (multi-campus) Description
South College is seeking a General Education Chair for the Dallas, Indianapolis, Atlanta, and Marietta Campuses. The General Education Chair provides academic leadership and oversight for General Education courses across multiple campus locations. This role ensures instructional quality, supports faculty development, and fosters student success through collaborative partnerships with campus and institutional stakeholders. The Chair will play a key role in faculty supervision, pre-program student support, and data-informed decision making to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
This position will support a multi-campus structure, working with institutional department leadership as well as local campus leadership. The candidate will work from home but should be local to a campus location for occasional campus visits. Occasional travel to other represented campuses will be required.
Responsibilities:
Teach three to four courses per quarter in online or face-to-face modalities (number of courses may vary depending on credit hours of approved courses and/or other responsibilities).
Serve as a model of instructional excellence, providing timely feedback and fostering high levels of student engagement.
Recruit, onboard, train, and schedule faculty teaching General Education courses across three campus locations.
Collaborate with campus and centralized leadership to ensure consistent instructional delivery and alignment with institutional goals.
Monitor student success in General Education courses and develop targeted improvement initiatives in partnership with academic and student support teams.
Lead campus-based initiatives designed to promote student retention, engagement, and academic achievement.
Contribute to curriculum enhancement efforts by providing feedback informed by student outcomes and faculty input.
Participate in faculty evaluation processes, ensuring instructional quality and adherence to institutional standards.
Utilize data and analytics to inform decisions related to scheduling, performance, and student achievement.
Requirements
Education
Graduate degree in a General Education discipline (e.g., English, Math, Communications, Computer Literacy, Psychology, Sociology, Humanities); terminal degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum of three years of college-level teaching experience, including in an online environment.
Proven experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting faculty.
Demonstrated success in enhancing student retention and academic performance.
Familiarity with course scheduling, data-informed decision making, and faculty evaluation processes.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across multiple campus locations.
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Canvas preferred) and other instructional technologies.
