The Dump Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe, efficient, economical movement of material year-round from one location to another as well as keeping the equipment in clean, serviceable condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Operate dump truck safely and efficiently on public highways and in off-road situations to deliver asphalt or aggregate material into asphalt paver, widener, stone box, storage bins or onto stockpiles. Perform daily pre-trip and post trip inspections and report mechanical issues to the shop manager. Adhere to all DOT rules and regulations in addition to company policies. Attend safety training and toolbox meetings hosted by Truck base Manager of Fleet Department. Load, unload and protect cargo while adhering to all safety protocols. Perform additional assignments per supervisors' direction. Job may demand working more than 40 hours in a week with day and night shifts and weekly schedules can include weekends. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
