Primary Responsibility : Drives a commercial motor vehicle primarily engaged in trips of between twelve (12) and eighteen (18) days on the road prior to end of shift in order to provide safe and timely delivery of products to and/or from customers with responsibility for the established routes within an established territory. Driving time is normally in periods of up to eleven (11) hours followed by an off-duty period of at least ten (10) consecutive hours. What You'll Do : Delivers and picks up containers/trailers at various warehouse and customer locations, assists as needed with unloading or reloading the vehicle, and reports any discrepancies or issues to appropriate individual(s) immediately upon discovery. May be asked or required to deliver information to outside third parties to pick up and/or deliver containers/trailers as needed or as necessary. Serves as point of contact for the Company regarding product acceptance and/or delivery issues by processing paperwork including purchase orders, invoices, accounts receivables, fuel receipts, dispatch sheets, bills of lading, unloading receipts, trucking logs, and shipping schedules. May be asked or required to create, process, and track invoices and billing as needed or as necessary. Maintains Department of Transportation (DOT) vehicle logs as required by law, as well as any other Company documents necessary for operation of vehicle, performs daily equipment and vehicle inspections, and relays appropriate information between ports of entry and warehouses. Performs other driving and/or warehouse-related duties as required or as requested. What Experience and Education You Need : High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Two (2) years professional driving experience. Current and valid Commercial Driving License (CDL) "A" classification. No more than one (1) moving violation citation such as reckless driving or speeding in excess of fifteen (15) miles above the posted speed limit within the previous twelve (12) months, and no more than three (3) within the previous three (3) years. No more than three (3) serious motor vehicle violation citations or accidents within the previous three (3) years. No DUI citations. We have 19 Truck Driver starter positions available ~ Class A CDL Driver Starter Level 1 Congratulations, you now have your Class A License you are looking for work with no OTR experience no one will hire you? We will give you a chance. In order to qualify, you have to have graduated from at least 120 hour Academy within the last 2 years. This is not a local position. After your 30 day training you'll come home and choose one of many open positions. Many are OTR runs. However we do offer you other positions once you get started with us. Don't be fooled by other carriers promising big salaries only to leave you hanging. We offer excellent pay and benefits unsurpassed by many other carriers. All of our training positions for drivers with no OTR experience, like yourself, features great pay, excellent benefits and many home time options. After training you will be expected to run OTR getting home every 10-14 days. Many openings are regional as well getting home more often. Of late we offer several different division opportunities, such as dry van, flatbed, and reefer. If you'd like to run flatbed we offer a free 5 day training course to build your experience level. We have a CDL school tuition reimbursement for those who paid out of pocket to go to school. Up to $1,000 to help payback your tuition. The onboarding process, and position details: After HR receives your application, we will then reach out to you and conduct a phone interview to pre-qualify you. Once we determine that you qualify, we will then review all of the job details with you and move you forward with the application process. After you are approved moving forward, you will be scheduled for driver orientation. You will be scheduled for the closest location. We will reserve a hotel room for you. After orientation, you will be hired and go out with a driver trainer for 4 weeks straight. You will be staying out the whole month, training all over the country. Our goal is to build your confidence behind the wheel and turn you into a great safe Class A Driver. Pay is just $650 a week during this time. After completion of your OTR training, you will then meet with a terminal manager to choose a position that suits your needs. You will then become a regular driver and move into a full time position. Your pay will increase to anywhere from $1,200 - $1,400+ per week during this time(depending on the run you choose). Getting home times will vary depending on the run.
