We are seeking a Supplier Quality Analyst to focuses on ensuring the quality of products and services from suppliers, involving activities like assessing supplier capabilities, resolving quality issues, and implementing quality improvement strategies. Work closely with the Manufacturing leadership team, Sourcing, Purchasing, Materials management and Quality. As Supplier Quality Analyst will report to the Manager, Purchasing and you will be based on-site based out of our manufacturing campus located at 100 Thermon Dr. San Marcos, TX. Monday to Friday, core business hours 8am-5pm. Role and Responsibilities: Supplier Assessment and Qualification * Evaluate potential and existing suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and company requirements. * Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify their quality systems and capabilities. * Develop and maintain supplier quality documentation and reporting processes. Quality Issue Resolution * Identify and resolve supplier quality issues through effective communication and collaboration. * Investigate and analyze root causes of quality problems. * Implement corrective and preventative actions to address quality issues. Process Improvement * Collect and evaluate supplier quality data to identify areas for improvement. * Collaborate with suppliers to implement process improvements and enhance quality. * Develop and implement supplier quality processes and programs. Communication and Collaboration * Maintain open communication with suppliers regarding quality issues and performance. * Work with internal teams (e.g., engineering, purchasing) to ensure quality requirements are met. * Provide feedback to suppliers on their performance. Skills: * Strong organizational and analytical skills required with an emphasis on attention to detail. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) * Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure to meet time restraints. * Must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated. * Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors. * Demonstrated skills in negotiations and relationship building. * Able managing large and complex projects. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, or Business Administration is required. * Minimum three (3) years of hands-on Quality Supplier experience is required. * Experience in industrial manufacturing companies preferred. * Experience working with manufacturing Bill of Materials, drawings, welding and paint specifications, and customer requirements is a preferred. * Procurement certifications Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) preferred. * Experience working with financial systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus. Working Conditions * Must be able to traverse across San Marcos, TX different buildings by walking. * Regularly stand/walk/seat for periods of time across the office/manufacturing facility and suppliers' locations. * Willing, available and able to frequent travel between San Marcos Campus, suppliers, vendors of Thermon nationally and internationally when needed. Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in the medium voltage and/or high voltage utility substations and power generation industry with experience in a supervisory role leading and running projects in greenfield and brownfield substations. Relay testing of microprocessor-based protection IED's (SEL, ABB, Siemens, GE, etc.) with fully automated test equipment (Omicron CMC356) and test data management. Experienced in high voltage primary equipment testing and commissioning involving power transformers, reactors, circuit breakers, CT's, PT's, surge arrestors, disconnect switches, cap and reactor Banks, etc. Testing and commissioning as per NETA/IEEE/IEC standards. Strong understanding of CSA Z462 safety standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an extreme attention to detail are essential. Knowledge of the Microsoft office software suite of programs coupled with strong computer skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues simultaneously. Strong analytical, risk assessment and problem solving skills. NETA Testing Certification an asset. Background checks and Drug and Alcohol Pre-Access Testing will be required as part of employment. Requirements: Must be legally able to work in Canada, VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to work for extended periods out of town. Additional Information: Typical out of town working shifts are (but not limited to) 10/4, 14/7, 14/14, 21/7, 21/14.
