Summary: The primary purpose of this position is the assembly and fabrication of mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of primary and secondary equipment. This position reports to the Department Supervisor. Essential Functions: Ensure department objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. Operate primary and secondary equipment in the assigned work area. Perform complex assembly of small precision parts using a variety of hand tools and devices including but not limited to wrenches, nut drivers, and air gaging. Utilize test rigs to test and verify part performance. Independently produce the first part making all necessary adjustments for quality. Package finished product and palletize. May perform some quality control functions including but not limited to visual inspection.
