    Responsible for performing heavy duty crane modifications, installations and repairs to damaged cranes and crane parts, plus crane repair and maintenance work in accordance with Custom Truck and factory standards under the general direction of the Boom Shop Manager. CTOS Purpose, Vison, and Values ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Installation and removal of different types of crane and crane equipment. Modification of crane truck wheelbases. Installation and removal of crane truck suspensions. Perform work as outlined on crane order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Custom Truck and factory standards. Fabrication and installation of components related to crane equipment installations. Keeps shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all tools at all times. Ability to follow both written and verbal installation instructions. Uses and maintains all necessary shop equipment required to complete any crane repairs or PM inspections. Disposes of used oil, grease, antifreeze and filters in the assigned location to insure EPA compliance. Cleans and properly equips assigned area to perform all necessary repairs to equipment. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Tags all warranty and core parts and take to area for return, insuring proper credit is allowed. Advises Boom Shop Manager immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if installations or repairs cannot be completed within the time promised. Document work performed. Attend factory-sponsored training classes. Ensures that customers' cranes are kept clean. Tests crane to quality-check work performed. Works with all departments in harmony. Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the Company's Job Safety policies pertaining to this position. Attends and participates in Custom Truck monthly safety training classes. Confer with production, sales, and warehouse, to expedite the needs of the production teams. Collaborate and reconcile Missing Parts in Station occurrences. Responsible for on-time kit delivery into every work area within the facility Will help orchestrate material movement and storage locations for material handler. Will be responsible for verifying production needs through the shop to ensure minimum downtime in production areas. Ensure that kits/parts are delivered to the correct build station/trailer serial number. Work directly with warehouse personnel to make whole any kits that are requested to the line with known parts shortages. In the event of an in-process change, will be responsible for removal/replacement of parts to satisfy said change. Record damages to materials during production, initiate proper disposition procedures and replace them with proper materials as needed. Review orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forward incomplete orders for further processing. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. You will work with a variety of materials and use different tools to create complex shapes and designs. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of CNC machinery, strong technical skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality products. Extensive knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code) and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam). Ability to operate precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Summary Successful candidate should have the ability to Inspect, diagnose and repair, electrical, hydraulic or powertrain related construction equipment issues. This individual will be required to work on several different types of equipment and will have the knowledge of or the ability to learn onboard computer systems and diagnostics. Inspects and services vehicles and makes repairs and adjustments both at the service center and in the field. Verify work performed, road test vehicles as necessary. Prepare inspection reports, repair orders (recording service time and parts costs) and timecards completely and accurately. Tag all warranty and core parts for return. Advises management immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised. Attends Custom Truck One Source safety training and follows all safety requirements. Attend Custom Truck One Source and factory -sponsored training classes. Keeps work area and service vehicles neat and clean and be able to account for all CTOS tools when in use.
