Salary Range: Seasonal $18.00 plus bonus potential
Under the direction of the Gondola Operations Supervisor and/or Gondola Operator, acting as a platform or station attendant is responsible for safely loading/unloading passengers onto/off of gondola cabins. All personnel shall use reasonable care while performing their duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Point's guiding principles: BAP: Best, Authentic, Profitable Cruise Destination.
On a daily or shift basis, and in accordance with ISP's policies & procedures and in accordance with all ANSI B-77 guidelines, is the platform or station attendant who is responsible for the safe and orderly direction of passenger traffic embarking and disembarking the gondola cabins in addition to the following:
Be knowledgeable of operational, emergency, and loss of control procedures (see 1.4 - loss of control) and the related equipment needed to perform the assigned duties.
Monitor the passengers' use of the aerial lift including observing, advising, and assisting them while they are in the attendant's work area as they embark on or disembark from the aerial lift; and to respond to unusual occurrences or conditions, as noted. The attendant should respond by choosing an appropriate action, which may include any of the following.
assisting the passenger.
slowing the aerial lift (when applicable).
stopping the aerial lift.
continuing operation and observation.
Deny access to an aerial lift to individuals, using provided practices.
Advise the operator of observed abnormal or unusual conditions that may adversely affect the safety of the operation.
Reasonably maintain loading and unloading areas (see 3.3.2.5.3).
Assist in evacuation of the lift, as assigning see 3.3.2.5.7).
Advise and assist passengers with adaptive equipment, as assigned.
Knowledgeable of the procedures for reporting incidents and obtaining appropriate first aid personnel.
Keeps current on training received on operating procedures related to enclosed cabins, loading/unloading, control center communications and customer service interaction.
Might receive daily guidance, training or work assignments from the shift Gondola Operator in the absence of the Gondola Operations Supervisor
Shall practice good housekeeping, with emphasis on preventing the development of any condition contributing to personal injury; tasks might include cabin cleaning, window cleaning and/or loading area vacuuming/sweeping/mopping.
Ability to work as team member.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Promote other Icy Strait Point venues.
Ability to work individually and as a team member when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.

Employee Bus Drivers work split shifts bringing employees to work very early in the morning and then bringing them home after work, at times very late into the evening. Often 6-7 days a week during July & August.
Bring employees and guests from the airport to housing and back to the airport when its time for them to go home.
Drive in a SAFE, responsible manner always and keep all equipment in SAFE condition following all laws and regulations.
Document safety checks in our automated system.
Maintain a CDL with passenger endorsement.
Deliver a first-class experience to all employees, guests and visitors.
Follow all directives and regulations for keeping and maintaining buses in proper operating mode.
Clean inside and outside of vehicles as needed and scheduled.
Complete pre- and post-vehicle inspection checklist.
Communicate with Compliance Specialist when vehicle needs additional maintenance.
Provide an orientation for the new employee using a checklist provided.
Learn and impart knowledge to guests of all that Icy Strait Point has to offer, including history, tours, food and beverage venues, retail products and venues, what's available in town, etc.
Assist employees and guests who need or request assistance in getting on/off the bus.
Participate in all required training.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Valid Driver's license and CDL License with passenger endorsement
Must pass a drug test before being hired for DOT compliance. Subject to random testing.
Must have valid medical certificate before arrival
Must have good customer service skills and the ability to communicate with ISP employees, guests and others in a professional, friendly, and accurate manner.
The Driver must be able to learn, retain and relay general ISP information.
Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.

Zip Rider Operator is to ensure that riders are safely prepared to participate in the world's largest Zip Rider. Icy Strait Point's Zip Rider is 1,400' high, over a mile long, moves at speeds up to 60mph and takes approximately 90 seconds from top to bottom. It's a rush! There is the “top tower,” where guests arrive by means of a scenic Gondola ride before being securely strapped into the harness seat by you, the operator, and there is the “bottom tower” where guests are unstrapped by you, the operator. Ziprider team members will report to the supervisor as well as two team leads.
