Georgia State University, one of the world's leading academic institutions and nationally recognized for its innovation in student success, invites applications for the position of Administrative Specialist, WomenLead. Georgia State, an enterprising public research university in Atlanta, is a national leader in graduating students from diverse backgrounds.

WomenLead, launched in 2015, is a university-wide academic program offering six sections of a for-credit course in women's leadership that advance women's leadership in the world and empower WomenLead students to aspire to and achieve leadership roles. The experiential learning-based courses provide students with knowledge, college-to-career skills and access to community leaders and partners. In 2018 WomenLead received the AACSB Innovations that Inspire Award acknowledging the program's commitment to closing the gender equity gap.

WomenLead is seeking to hire an experienced Administrative Specialist. The Administrative Specialist reports to the WomenLead Manager and will be responsible for the following:
Recruitment/Outreach Efforts


Assist the team with all outreach efforts Answer questions from potential students about the WomenLead program Write, design, and send recruitment communications Write, design and post WomenLead branded social media content Work closely with Academic Advisors


Scheduling/Course Support


Ensure courses are scheduled in GoSolar with the correct instructor, number of spots requested, and description. Help departments address any scheduling issues or errors in a timely manner Ensure a large common room for cohort classes every semester (150+ students) Ensure courses are scheduled in GoSolar with the correct instructor, number of spots requested, and description. Help departments address any scheduling issues or errors in a timely manner Guarantee that all classes are scheduled in the same building (Aderhold Learning Center)


Program/Events Management


Arrange for welcome packets and course materials to be prepared for new students before first day of class Help coordinate events and help ensure their success (as measured by attendance and follow-up on participant surveys) Develop resume book, slide decks, etc Coordinate end of the semester thank you mailing to all supporters of the program


Scholarship Program


Coordinate Scholar Award Committee Become proficient using Georgia State Scholarship Portal and ensure scholar award application portal is updated every semester Retrieve applications from portal to create applicants' packet and circulate to committee Administer the scholar award program of 12+ endowed scholarships and other awards (Dell, C200) Maintain MOU database for all scholar awards


Database


Assist with updating databases, (Excel, Banner, Salesforce, and Dropbox) Update project management platform, Monday.com


Program Administrative Support


Maintain supply inventory Order and restock supplies Train new University Assistants each semester

Qualifications:
