BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Clearwater, FL is seeking a full-time boarded or residency trained Internist to join our state of the art emergency and specialty hospital. We are looking to expand our current IM department due to high caseload and growth of the service. Our IM service has highly qualified, dedicated technicians experienced in internal medicine.
Our Clearwater hospital is located within a few miles of Clearwater, St. Pete, Treasure Island beaches and downtown St. Pete and a short drive to downtown Tampa. The hospital has most specialties including cardiology, critical care, oncology and our neighboring, sister Tampa hospital has radiation oncology. We are open 24/7 and currently support residency, rotating and specialty intern programs. Our ideal candidate would be a team player and have a interest in growing IM in the Clearwater hospital. We have a very collaborative, open environment.
The hospital facility is new - Feb 2020 we moved into the new building. We also boast a Vet Relations Representative position that assists all specialities to build their service and create and maintain collaborative relationships with our referring dvm community. The Tampa market currently has 26 ER Drs. to support our specialists, a Fast Track service for non-emergent cases and patient care coordinators to help facilitate client communication. Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center is the largest equine referral center in Arizona, with ambulatory and small animal services offered throughout the greater Phoenix and Scottsdale area. We offer referral, specialty services for horses on a routine and emergency basis in surgery and internal medicine and we collaborate with other specialists including ophthalmologists, cardiologists and dermatologists on an as needed basis. The hospital is located in the foothills of Cave Creek, and is fully equipped with a cooled, 12 stall nursing and intensive care unit, an isolation facility, standing MRI, nuclear scintigraphy and full-service radiology suite (digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy), on-site laboratory and 2 surgery suites with a padded induction and recovery area allowing for assisted recovery from anesthesia.
We are looking for a second board-certified or board-eligible equine internal medicine specialist to round out our internal medicine specialist team, and provide clinical services as a part of a collaborative group of equine ambulatory and specialist veterinarians.
