How We Determined the Best Cities in Arizona for Jobs

To effectively compare cities, we set a minimum population threshold of 5,000 residents.

After gathering data for approximately 118 locations in Arizona, we narrowed our list to 59 cities that met the population requirement.

We ranked each city based on several criteria from one to 59, with one being the top rank. The city with the lowest average score across all criteria earned the title of “Best Place for Jobs in Arizona.”

The criteria evaluated were:

  • Unemployment rate
  • Median household income
  • Poverty level

The data sources for these criteria were derived from the American Community Survey by the U.S. Census Bureau.
