    L3Harris is actively seeking for a Aircraft Maintenance D (Secret Avionics Mechanic) that is experienced in performing major and minor scheduled and unscheduled maintenance IAW military T.O.s, commercial maintenance manuals, and service bulletins of aircraft avionics and communication systems/subsystems They will also provide technical assistance and guidance during aircrew de-briefs and perform towing, marshalling, and positioning of aircraft on flight line. Perform other related tasks as required in support of engineering, testing, and production for the program.
    Job Requirements:

    + Having avionics and communications experience with: P-3, P-8, 737, or other relevant aircraft experience.

    + Being able to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, T.O specs, and engineering specifications.

    + Must be able to assemble close tolerance parts and use common hand tools.

    + Must be able to be certified to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, aircraft support equipment and towing vehicles.

    + Must complete a flight line physical.

    + Must be able to climb, including ladders, stairs, and portable stands and navigate these without assistance.

    + Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals, odor, and dust.

    + Must be able to maneuver up to 50 pounds.

    + Must have own tools. If hired, tools must be etched and shadowed. L-3/IS will provide the material to complete this task.

    + Must wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

    + Work schedule can be 7 days a week, up to 20% overtime, and travel up to 25% to support the Mission.

    Preferred Skills (beyond required):

    + Aircraft related Associates degree or A&P license + a minimum of 6 years aircraft maintenance experience. May substitute education with an additional 2 years related experience and a High School diploma / GED.

    + Working knowledge of Periodic Maintenance Information Cards/Maintenance Requirement Cards.

    + Must have a minimum current Secret clearance.

    + Experience with the Navy NALCOMIS/OOMA

    + Experience in managing ESD, Crypto, METCAL, and any other related US Navy Aviation Avionics programs.

    + SAE Aerospace Fiberoptic certification is a plus

    + Qualified Collateral Duty Inspector on P-8 platform is a plus

    **Key Responsibilities:**

    Responsible for the supervision and coordination of all maintenance functions on shift at the assigned location ensuring these activities are performed in a safe manner in accordance with schedule requirements and in compliance with all established Company, regulatory and manufacturers procedures.     + Oversee safety and security of aircraft and operations to ensure regulatory compliance of technical operations activities

    + Maintain a high level of communication with employee groups within the station

    + Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to leadership whilst providing direction to assigned station personnel to ensure station and divisional objectives are achieved
